Always a killer lineup!!! This Morn Omina and X Marks the Pedwalk at the same festival!!! Those two bands alone would get me to fly over and theres a couple others in there to I'd love to see live. I've spent my money on Kinetik this year in Montreal, but maybe next year it'll be Treffen.

I've been to four of these in the past six years. My girlfriend and I have always had a great time at these. It is almost overwhelming.

If anyone is going I recommend checking out www.americansinliepzig.com . Through this there is a group of Americans that typically meet up the night before the event. In recent years the group has been getting larger and including people from English speaking countries from around the world.

It also involves good planning, because often times there are two or three bands playing at the same time at different venues. So, you should prioritize as to which bands are the most important for you to see if you go. The vendor area is a DJ's dream for all of the music that is available, and for the fashion hounds it really could make your bank account go empty.

That's a great line-up, one of the better one's they've had in a while!

I flew over and went to WGT in 2001 to see Coil, Front 242, Laibach and others. What impressed me most was to see all these goths camping...in black tents! Hundreds of these black tents were everywhere! Where the hell can a camper buy one black tent, let alone hundreds?

What didn't impress me was that, at the time, most of their hired security were Leipzig skinheads, and this notorious breed of skinheads were not the funloving "oi, oi, oi, we're rude boys" kind. But that was almost 10 years ago. It may be much different now.
