bathroom attendants at clubs

Recommended Posts

Do not want.

Agreed. I think it would be a little weird... I dont need someone watching/ waiting for me to pee.

Can you picture someone at CC doing this? LMAO. It might not be to bad, cause there would be always someone there to keep the doors closed, and maybe SOME t.p. from not hitting the ground...

The clubs I've been in that had attendants had the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen. Everybody flushed and everyone threw their paper towels in the trash instead of behind it.

I bet those where fancy clubs though. Ive heard of restaurants doing this, which isn't to bad, but a club? I think it be a little weird...

I dont mind. Unless the person is a pervert, I don't think he will be trying to look at you while you are doing your thing. With all the asswipes that keep throwing toilet rolls down the toilet or shitting/puking on the floor, its what is needed. Maybe now they will have toilet paper and paper towels in the bathrooms again.

It's appropriate if it's a semi-high class joint, but for smaller venues, it's just irritating. I was at the Royal Oak Music Theater last night and there was a guy there to pull the paper towel out of the dispenser and hand it to you. Give me a break. I'm supposed to part with a dollar for that? That's like standing at a parking meter all day and taking change from people's hands to put in the meter and then asking for a tip for all the labor you've saved them.

I wish that the clubs would just send an employee in every now and again to make sure that the bathroom was at least decent (no puke, piss, blood (lol) etc. on the floors and such), and that all the supplies were readily available. Whether its an elegant restaurant, or some nasty club bathroom, I don't need someone trying to help me do my business, and then expect to get paid for it.

I just wanted to repeat what you said. Well put.

Actually, not entirely fancy clubs. Just busy ones. Before it became part of the new Washington National's stadium, the club DC Nation had attendants in its main restrooms, (off the main entrance.) They not only made sure that restroom was clean, but they also were security, ensuring shenanigans weren't going on in that restroom. I was OK to tip them a bit before leaving just to have a clean place to relieve myself.

The smaller restrooms (about the size of the men's restroom at City,) had no attendants, and were usually trashed. I only went there if there was no choice in the matter.

The problem with attendants at CC is the current restroom size, at least for the men's restroom. To set up the accessories and support equipment and have the restroom functional would be like fitting the offensive and defensive linemen from the Lions into a Yugo: a physics defying feat.

This. When I've encountered this in the one club I went in Baltimore, MD, Ram's Head Live (terrific place IMO), I ripped the paper towel out myself to avoid feeling guilty.

THIS I would pay for. If I actually saw someone acting as security and keeping the place clean as people went about their business, I would definitely give a tip of gratitude.

I dont mind them unless they get pissed at me for not wanting them to squirt soap on my hand and get me a towel. You are a convenience in the washroom, not a necessity. Dont be mad if i want to do it myself, im a big boy. Its like self serve and full serve at a gas station. if i wanted my gas pumped id go to full.

I usually tell them dont worry i got it and still drop a dollar or two in their tip thing. I try to use the sinks furthest from them so I dont have to deal with them.

I suppose maybe its a way to give jobs to people in desperate need of money now days. It is a pretty shitty job pardon the pun. So I think theres more to it than just having cleaner more secure restrooms I think possibly theres some government incentives to forming jobs either in tax breaks or something.
