I'm not sure whos doing the role of Harly Quinn there have been rumors that Johny Depp is going to play the The Riddler....and i guess the character is suppose to be dark as Heath Ledgers (Joker) was....heres some possible movie covers for the new Batman comming out entitled Batman-Gotham City

Batman_3_Poster___Harley_Quinn_by_j.jpg

looks photoshopped to me but who knows

all i know is they better find a way to not have The Joker in any of the other movies...I'm sorry but i dont think anyone can simply come close to even doing an equal job as Ledger did...

Tricia Helfer... she would be a good choice too...

Yeah those posters have been circulating for a while now :) I think they are fake but I like them just the same.

I do like the way that Harley and Joker have this strange metaphor of modern relationships going on (yes I am geeking out) She is the epitome of the hot girl that seems to fall for the ultimate asshole, and continues to love and dote upon him no matter what... and he of course is the codependent narcissistic dude, who needs her but hates the fact that he does, so treats her like shit until he can't live with out her... then turns really nice all of a sudden.

I was so confused for a while, then realized that a lot of the content of this thread must have been in another thread LOL

Anyways here's a pic I like. :)

I think Julie Benz could pull it off really well..... she is a good balance between psycho and sweet in most things she is in.

I'd have to agree with you here. For me, its hard not seeing her as that saucy vampire chick, because of Buffy and Angel... BUT she is an amazing actress and she pulls off sweet and psycho, every well! ^_^

Yeah, she would be good...but she'd also have to go blonde for the role.

I'm not sure how she'd look as one.

There ya go:

I don't know how I feel about her playing the role, but she is good at psycho. Don't think she's really all that good at "nice and bubbly" plus, she doesn't have a "sweet and innocent" look about her at all. But as far as ACTING the part, she might be able to pull it off.. But I don't know how believable she'd be because of her looks. :) Makeup and acting can only get you so far. ;)

I think that is a good observation. Though, I do think Harley NEEDS him in other ways (besides just out of the fact that she does, indeed love him). He allows her freedom. Freedom from the perfect little world she has surrounded herself in, the norm, the status quo, the freedom to do what she wants, when she wants it - to give into tendencies and desires that are all but taboo in the world she lives in. It allows here to take all those things one is "not suppose" to do and fling them out the door-smilling and all - free of a conscious - the ultimate freedom.

I do not believe the Joker is a true narcissist -if he was he would not "need" her. I think he likes to fancy himself one, to deny that feeling. A true narcissist is NEVER codependent. They have totally disregard for the feelings of another - no empathy, they are defined only by themselves, and themselves alone- no one else is ever factored in. He both loves Harley and hates her because she reminds and reenforces in him one thing - that he is indeed human and has feelings beyond that of sociopath. The role for which he defines himself .. ..

Could you imagine, someone coming along and changing everything you have ever believed about yourself? .. let me tell you, it is both amazing and FUCKED UP.

I don't know what you are talking about. Some of these pictures are just plain sick. I'm worried about the mindset of such an artist that would fetishize violence against women like this or have such brutal misogyny seem macho/romantic.

I guess it can be pretty messed up when just looking at the images.

But I love the background of the characters and thinking of the psychological issues that posses the characters.

You interlopers messed up Phee and Eevee's burgeoning romance. :spank

Ehh?

Oh and this one of him putting the paint on her is pretty steamy as well.Mad_Love__TDK_Joker_and_Harley_by_rnlaing.jpg

*drool*

Hahahaha!I was about gonna say "Such a girly character for Chernobyl!?" but then I heard your reasoning...and it allllll makes sense  I'm not sure...here is the artist's DA.I believe this is from the same artist...TDK_Joker_and_Harley_2_by_rnlaing.jpgWith the caption:"Harley Harley Harley..." He hopped off the sink, turning around to face her. He picked her up, placing her on the sink, her rear dipping into the bowl, the faucet against her lower back.He reached quickly beneath her skirt, pulling her stockings down her legs and leaving them hanging on her ankles. He slid his hand to her Arkham security pass, examining the laminated card for a moment. His scarred mouth twisted into a half smile as he pulled it over her head, tossing it behind him. " :droolThe more I look into Harley, the more I see her pictures...the more I can see myself playing her. :X Is that weird?

I second that.

I see myself playing Harley as I've got a knack for finding the one's with emotional/psychological issues >.>

Not quite as Sadistic...but psychology can be SUCH an erotic thing xD

There relationship is crazy yummy... in a codependent abusive kind of way

uh huh *drool #2) I hate co-dependence....I love insane love.

How funny, such a contradiction.

Saying these pictures and the ideology behind the story line is promoting or fetishizing violence is like saying zombie movies and comic books alike promote cannibalism.

Its human nature to take horrible things and use it in art, and story line.

Its damn sexy, and I've got a taste for art portraying violence, death, and bloodshed etc, as I don't deny humanity's worst qualities and hide behind moralistic rigidness to cover up my fears and insecurities about the reality of the grossly immature state humanity in a whole is in.

To turn it into art, and conceptualize it is one of the most therapeutic ways to express one's self without harming another human being.

So with that being said Sir Masey, I make my case, these pictures aren't anything to be worried about.

(giggles and whispers, they are fecking awesome!)

I always chuckle a little when it comes to Harley, because of where she originated.

Harley Quinn (Dr. Harleen Quinzel) is a fictional character, who was first introduced as a supervillainess on September 11, 1992, in the animated series Batman: The Animated Series, later adapted into DC Comics' Batman comic books.

A character from a childs cartoon that has taken on a life of her own.

quote taken from here

That being said - I always kind of liked the character, too.
