i still don't understand this "water vapor" issue. millions of people breathe in hot water vapor almost daily - it's called taking a shower... how can it supposedly be bad for you?

Ok..long story-short, to much of a good thing, can kill you.

..just enough of the right thing, applied incorrectly, will result in the same...

*Think on this with me...

..yeah, how long are you IN the shower?

...how do you BREATHE in the shower?

..regular, or like you're hitting a cigarette, do you even know how a cig is hit? YOU SUCK IT!

...there is a difference between how you breathe, & how you hit a cig...AND you hold it in a bit too.

EXTENDED, REGULAR use of these things, can fuck you up. (Why are they banned in so many other countries?)

ALSO, there is not nicotine, & aforementioned trace elements, in the shower steam (There are chemicals in the e-cig).

HERE'S a cool experiment you can do, instead of relentlessly arguing me.

..go get a humidifier, & hook up a hookah hose to it somehow (I'ld go straight for the duct tape)...MAKE SURE IT IS GOOD & SEALED, & THAT'S IT'S FULL OF WATER...now, sit there & suck it...suck it all night long...suck it for 10 minutes every 45 minutes or so, just do this with 6 hours a night for about 5 to 9 days...maybe, you'll know what I'm talkin' about...

I see it this way; I started smokin' one, for a long weekend, I had yellow goobies, & a slightly sore throat...3 days...& I only smoked the thing at Dirty Show, & in Iris's car (is non-smoker, I am a generally polite smoker)...

You heard about Duck..he's normally a cigar & cigarette smoker...HE, went near two months smokin' that puffpuffmachine...

Do I plan on using my puufpuffmachine again?...damnedstraight...not days in a row like I did, but if I have a show, I'm gonna' needs to pass this fucker around with me boys back stage, & on stage...'cause, well, we all have a touch of the stage anxiety, (I think, all the greats do)...& this here, bullshite-designed-to-ruin-every-other-aspect-of-my-life, got passed, NOT BY THE PEOPLES, but by politicians..

1) i have a question, as i've not seen these e-cigs yet. do they come with instructions? nicotine gum, nicotine patches, they both have instructions on how much/how often to use them, which leads me to assume e-cigs would as well. have the people involved (yourself included) followed the instructions/warnings regarding use? if so, please disregard the question.

2) regarding how you hit an e-cig - i found a warning on one manufacturer's website that states;

"Do not inhale with a great amount of suction - this may cause the liquid which contains nicotine to discharge directly into your mouth. If you consume liquid directly please rinse your mouth with water repeatedly. Slowly inhale with a smooth and consistent drag."

perhaps the issue you had was due to "hitting" the e-cig too hard?

3) my grandfather, when he was in the hospital with pneumonia, had to have a humidifying breather mask on his face for up to two hours at a time. the humidity level was so high in it that there was condensation on the inside of the mask. i also have a friend who's infant required a similar treatment. this is specific, intentional high-humidity treatment. why would they not suffer the same thing you're claiming, if it was really the water vapor that was the issue?

extended regular use of cigarrettes can fuck you up more. let me ask you this - when you started with the e-cig, had you previously quit smoking for a while? as most any former smoker can tell you, for the first week or two when you quit, you end up coughing up a lot of shit, as your body tries to get rid of all the toxic shit previously built up in your system. if there was no time in between your quitting cigarrettes & starting on the e-cig, it could be that the coughing up stuff was not, in fact, due to the e-cig, but to the fact thata you *weren't* smoking cigs.

don't talk down to me, it's unnecessary. just because i'm not addicted to smoking, that's no reason for you to dismiss my questions and opinions out-of-hand. my thoughts are just as valid as yours are. as for your "experiment", see my point #3 - grandfather was required to do this for days on end, on a schedule that included multiple daily treatments. your "experiment" has already been done by tons of people in hospitals everywhere without the results you claim.
