While I was at the A23 show, we were discussing weird/gross movies (I was wearing a cannibal holocaust shirt and thus the convo started) DJ saint brought up a movie that I have been wanting to see (its nice when someone actually knows about weird movies Im interested in). Its called "The Human Centipede" and the title kinda says it all...its a weird horror that will probably end up just being gross and funny, I doubt it will get any play in MI but when it comes out on DvD I will probably check it out, anyone else hear about this flick?

yeah, I'm a semi-regular at io9, and there have been a few stories about it posted there. I think the trailer is online somewhere. I thought it sounded too stupid to bother watching, but that might make it perfect for other people.

well, it actually looked interesting until I saw the trailer. (and the trailer really shows so much of the movie I'm wondering why many would bother watching).

I like scary - scary=fun, but this one just looks like someone with a poo fetish got some financing and disguised it as a horror movie.

LoL I understand what you mean. Sadly, because people have become so jaded, a lot of directors feel that by grossing people out, its the only way to get a reaction anymore.

I heard about the movie, while browsing on IMDb, wish more of the independent stuff would get a wider release. I guess we will have to wait for DVD for this.

However, MI does get a fair share of good stuff. Saw The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a couple weeks ago at the Maple Art, and that was a TERRIFIC film. Was hoping we'd get after.life w/ Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson, and Justin Long, but no dice on that either.

the actual idea came from the writer/director talking with some people about how he would like to sew the mouth of a child molester onto the anus of a fat trucker..and viola!!...The Human Centipede is born.

The sequel is to include a chain of 12 people...which is insane.
