Necto's Smoking/Re-entry Policy

Recommended Posts

We have added to our back patio on accommodate all smokers. If the area seems to packed for you please feel free to exit the building through the front door and smoke outside. We will NOT nor will we EVER charge you more money to smoke. No Smoking is now a law in Michigan as it is in 38 other states. We are trying to be pro-active to figure out how to accommodate you best. Michigan has only followed what most of the country has already done. We are trying to make this as easy as possible of a transition. I am a smoker it sucks, I know but this is where we are like it or not. The owner of the Necto not only went to Lansing to make his voice heard before this became law but also joined with the restaurant and bar association in trying to help define the law as best as we could for all. The blame is not with the state. The majority of our country is now smoke free in public. This is not on Gramholm or our legislator but a national trend the majority of our country has taken. Please offer your input on how we can make this easier for you.

Question...how did you "add on" to the patio? It looked like you just shut one of the doors to a part of the patio and made that the "smoking area".

Thats really cool!

Won't downtown Ann Arbor get all uppety?

Yes they will but as someone who grew up down there. You know Ann Arbors always been a bit uppity. :) Just tryign to make the best of a bad situation. I really think in the long run we do more business with the ban in effect. I know lots of people who don't like going out to clubs due to all the smoke. As a smoker I don't like it but I do understand why they made the law.
