Artists and Music You Didn't Appreciate The 1st Time Around

Anything you've been getting into that you never gave a chance that was much-loved by others? Or maybe you never got around to checking it out before or were unaware?

Don't know why it had taken me so long to check out Roky Erickson. A much respected and appreciated artist whom I'd never took the time to look into long ago. Same goes for his old band 13th Floor Elevators.

I'm big on giving things (and people) a 2nd, 3rd or even 4th and 5th chance if I know that people I typically respect have a fondness for something that I , at first (or second) glance did not appreciate. That is if I can do it without having to bash my head into a wall.

And yeah Rokey is great, but liked him immediately. Duran Duran and Nirvana for me where both also insta-likes. Oddly I got into Duran Duran when I was like 10 or something originally due to a James Bond movie theme they did. I can't even remember what the song was at the moment.

I already like 60s garage and pop but some of the more "hippy-friendly" stuff is kind of growing on me as of late.
