What games are you playing?

Recommended Posts

I dragged my Wii out earlier today and started playing The Legend of Spryo: The Eternal Night and Mini Ninjas. Got to play some Magic the Gathering over the weekend that made my day on Sunday. Thinking after dinner of teaching the oldest to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Good gods, man. And I thought I was going through tabletop roleplaying withdrawal.

Gran Turismo 5. Even though I heard it got a couple of bad reviews, I bought it anyway. If you were a fan of any of the previous GT games, you'll love this one. I honestly don't know why it got any bad reviews, probably because it's not an instant gratification game most people like now days.

...

Huh, that's odd, I just checked Gamespot.com on Gran Turismo, they gave it an 8 out of 10 and the conglomeration of critics that Gamespot's site referenced (non-gamespot reviews) seem to average out to 8.5. Seems most critics actually liked the game. I generally use multiple sources for determining whether a game (or movie for that matter) is any good. It is also why rottentomatoes.com (which does movies exclusively) and metacritic.com (which aggregates game scores along with other media types) can be your friend.

Currently playing WoW cataclysm, want to finish my run of Dragon Age before the next one comes out, would love to be playing Black Ops (I still need to get Modern Warfare 2, and would like to get World at War, as I have been a fan of the CoD franchise since the first game) but currently don't have the cash for it, or the time for that matter, especially if I want to get out and do things with friends and run marathons and such.

Started Rift, might quit though. It's a fun game but I kind of forgot how much of a time sink mmo's cab be.

NOOO don't go to the dark side. (Been playing MMO's since before they were called MMOs... baaaaaaad habbit.)

I'm currently playing this game called "get shawn to post in the DGN Night Aftermath topic"

Heh Just noticed this sorry :). Think I did post in the aftermath thread though. I feel like playing online has spoiled me, cause I've tried a few times to go back to playing offline and I almost always end up bored with whatever game I'm playing before I'm even half way through it.
