Alpha Matrix or Metropolis Records

I tend to like the artists on Metropolis they've been feeding me good tunes for quite some time now. Many of my favorites call that label home. Covenant , Imperative Reaction , Rotersand , Psyclon Nine, and more.

Not to say that Alfa Matrix (yes that is how it is spelled, grammar police) does not have some decent artists as well. However the only artist of theirs i have seen live that i am aware of is Ayria  .

Is it Wednesday yet?

You also have to throw in so many other labels like Infacted, Out of Line, Pro-Noize, Crunchpod, Tympanik Audio, Dependent, Ant Zen, Hymen, Death Watch Asia, Art of Fact, Zoth Ommog, Mute, Nettwork, Wax Trax, .etc... TONS of great releases out there from a variety of sources. Seek them out.

I think both labels are decent. AM has kept things more electronic in focus where as Metro has grown in scope to include a variety of musical styles not just electronic. Ones also an American label versus European, so the audiences of potential buyers is slightly different too.

Of course, K-Tel blows all this stuff away :p

Its kind of an unbalanced argument. Reminds me of the Cleopatra vs. Projekt debates back in the 90s.

As for current topic, because of the unbalance, I cannot choose just one, simply because I like many from both labels. But if practicality is at stake, I would say Metropolis, if only because of them, we here in the US get alot of our musicaql fixes we otherwise wouldn't be able to.

I like Metroplis records because, sure, they carry artists of the Electro-genres but they're also catering to a more Electro-Rock crowd, as well as stuff that almost sounds Pop. They're not set to just one genre, they're expanding it.
