Joy Division love thread

Recommended Posts

It's been 30 years since Ian Curtis' death, and the reach of his and Joy Division's influence continues seemingly unabated. Indeed, there's a tribute happening tonight:

Joy Division - they were the band that did that song Love Will Tear Us Apart that you folks hear (or walk out on) pretty often on the CC dancefloor.

After singer Ian Curtis' death the surviving went on to form New Order. They were the ones who originally did that song Blue Monday.

Buuuuut...with this new night at City...does this mean there will be more JD played (not saying the current DJs don't play it ever)?

Probably; and not just Love Will Tear Us Apart :wink.

And does this mean I'll finally hear Sex Gang Children on the CC dancefloor of all places? :)
