A Strange Kind Of Love 05. All These Moments 06. Wasted Wings 07. Waiting To Be Born (Full Version) 08. War On Error (iVardensphere Remix) - This mix should be KILLER!!! 09. If You Don't Stop It (Hazardous Dub) Release Date September 2010 Press Release August 2009: With „War On Error“,ROTERSAND deliver a first foretaste for the global resistance movement they are about to establish and spread with their groundbreaking electronic manifest “Random Is Resistance” in October 2009. It will be the most danceable resistance of all times. September 2010: 13 months later, the artful Electro architects lift “Waiting To Be Born”, one of the most emotional songs on “Random Is Resistance”, thereby adding more fuel to the fire of their heated campaign against uniform thinking and the global sellout of identity. Already a capital hymn lacking neither forcing beats nor elegiac melodies in its original vesion, the track has been carefully reworked and opens up the EP resulting in nothing less that a Futurepop classic for eternity! Nothing less than three exclusive tracks only available on this EP elevate “Waiting To Be Born” far above the standard of an in itself worthy remix collection: A cover version of “A Strange Kind Of Love”, bowing deeply to PETER MURPHY’s original despite a thoroughly independent club attitude, the intensely pulsating “All These Moments” or the moving ballad “Wasted Wings”. Again, these three songs display ROTERSAND’s immense artistic bandwidth: A uniquely diverse mixture of Industrial Pop, EBM, Trance and mature songwriting convincing with emotional depth as well as with virtuous design. Also the monumental wide screen mix [:SITD:] issued on “First Time”, the insanely whipping, energized IVARDENSPHERE remix of “War On Error” or the treacherous dub monster that crept out of “If You Don’t Stop It” document the impressive range of ideas and the impulsive force with which ROTERSAND enrich the Electro cosmos. 50 minutes, 9 tracks, one superbly mastered task: Massive, club compatible Electro lacking neither lyrical content nor musical sophistication. “Waiting To Be Born” shows how diversified electronic music can be – and should be! Consequently, also the digipak artwork including the voluminous booklet once again became significant to such an extent that this collector’s item with its strict limitation of 2.000 EPs will be an exclusive enrichment of every Electro collection. Jinx
Just got the EP today. I really like all of it. Several tracks and remixes that will sure to please any fan of their prior work and will make some new converts along the way. As a long time Peter Murphy fan the cover really works for me. Nice Piano interludes through the song over a quasi Trance beat. The vocals are crisp and somewhat haunting. All and all GREAT EP. I'll be playing most of the CD on Monday throughout the night. It's definitely worth hearing. BTW Krischan is the MAN for getting me an advance copy! Jinx Edited July 2, 2010 by Jinx
Jinx
Forget my own opinion. Last night over 400 people agreed the new Rotersand is full of WIN!!!! Waiting To Be Born, A Number And A Name, War On Error (iVardensphere Remix) were all huge floorfillers. All 3 were met with a great response. Our older crowd really liked the updated interpenetration of A Strange Kind Of Love. The younger ones thought is was new. Lots of kids checking out the original on youtube today for sure. the vocals and beat are perfect for this interpretation. Cheers on a great piece of work. The ONLY place in the United State's to hear it for the next month will be at Necto. It is a testiment to our scene here in Michigan that we hyave been given this rare opportunity. If you were there last night please offer your thoughts. Jinx

Jinx
Just writing a review for the new E.P. relax. No need to freak out. The CD is great and if a thread involves music that is coming out writing a short blurb about how 4 of the tracks did in an actual club it's a good thing. No promoter in his/her right mind would miss a chance to announce they have new music available that is exclusive to them for the time being. Of the 11 sentences written one mentioned our Necto. I actually lost a bet of how long it would take to post something sarcastic by 1 day. So thanks for meeting expectations even if it's belated. Please resist your urge to respond here and send it to my P.M. if you feel the need. Lets get back on the topic of how good /can't wait to have the E.P. released.
