Awesome stuff! I'm supposed to be taking it easy, but how can I stand still with music like that?

Is that a remix of Epicentre? It sounds like half the music is missing.

Also, having the speakers working right is FANTASTIC, but some songs the bass is so loud that it's completely out of balance, not to mention really painful (yes, even when I'm not right by the speaker). I finally had to leave the dance floor to let my ears recover. Any chance of tweaking it down just a tiny bit?

Epicentre was straight from the Futureperfect CD. However, I do remember when it was playing that I thought it sounded a bit different, but I figured it was just cuz I haven't heard it in awhile. The mids and lows may have been turned down for a portion of the track, but more than likely though, I bet it was those pesky Leland ghosts up to no good again.

It's nice to have the sound system in better shape, and I'm sure the levels will continue to be tweaked in upcoming weeks. The vibe on Friday was great. Glad to hear people had a good time.

Ghea, i was out there friday... good musics, but i am pissed at myself for gettin there right after the new front line assembly had been playing. i meant to be there right @ 10, but traffic and poor directions led to a delay, i must've showed up immediatly after it had finished playing... i would have loved to hear that.

*punches self in face*

Maybe i'll have another chance one day. It was cool to hear some old school thrill kill kult and skinny puppy in there tho, balanced it out very nicely.

Futureperfect was released on a Black CD - if you look at the bottom of the disc it is black. Cool and different yet problematic. CD players read as lasers the information on the disc which is then "reflected" back. Silver disc will naturally have a better reflection than black disc would. The black disc just misses some of the dynamics and it's very apparent on that VNV Nation disc. I've noticed it in the past too and first time I thought it was just the mixer levels yet when I played it a few months back I got the evil reminder. Best bet is to ignore the Futureperfect version and find another version from a comp such as Metropolis 2002 (domestic) or Synth & Wave Essentials (import)

Weird I know...

Wow, thanks for the explanation. Definitely never would have suspected.
