After a loooooooong month of no SC2, last night at aprox 11:00 PM, Starcraft 2 began the 2nd phase of the beta, to continue to prepare for its release on the 27th. There have been several sound changes as well as picture changes for certain upgrades, as well as an updated B.net, which is cool so far. Also changed a few things to help balance, both of which I like (giving infestors back infested terran, yaaay!)

As soon as I could I got on, and im 5th place in "Platinum league" as of right now (Im a Terran player). If anyone has the Beta (Mean Salley!!) and wants to play some friendly 1v1's, or team with me, GET AT MEEE!

Any thoughts on SC2 is free for discussion here, as you can tell I am a huge fan, and am planning on trying to go pro in the American scene. (Dont worry, we already know Korea owns us)

been playing it off and on when i feel like playing games, played beta, but recently kinda just play a few games a week. mostly zerg 1v1 and 2v2 but still in bronze cause i dont play it enough. sc1 i never got into 1v1 that much. mostly team games. so it refreshing, specially with the setup battle.net 2.0 has.

B.Net will be even better after patch 1.2 when they add they chat rooms :)

I play it like its my job. Im a 2k point Diamond player in 1v1, as well as Diamond in 2v2 and 4v4 (I play Terran). But if you ever want to play or just watch games with me and friends, let me know :)

I never got into competing against other players when it comes to video games. Stuff like Halo, Ultimate, Tribes, etc ... just not my thing. So Starcraft over BattleNet isn't really my thing either. But I did love the campaign and am looking forward to all the expansions, and I love playing against AI, especially if a friend and I team up against a couple AI opponents. That I enjoy.

yah i do both. the system is semi good at pitting you if you play competitive to people your skill level. so no where the newb bashing that is in other games. campaign was different. id say the plot line was over thought out. thou the super villians in this one lack the badassness..

im down for ai bashing for for anything really

If any random non-true-beliver happens upon this thread:

The game is out and theres a free "real" demo.

StarCraft II

Plus even if you dont buy it (or WoW or Diablo) the website looks AWESOME. Just from an artistic standpoint I like poking around on it.

I know its out, but didnt feel like making a new thread. and yes the art is awesome. I actually bought the special edition of sc2 and got an art book, I looooove it.

I'm not a big fan of RTS's, but friends got me religiously into the first Starcraft. I got a chance to play some games of SC2 on guest passes and I hope to eventually buy it; we usually play against computers, but on rarity we've had PvP with Brood War.

I mainly play Zerg and was impressed with the changes made to them and the game. For instance, mutalisks used to be weak, now I'm saving people's lives. I was a little on the fence about the elimination of lurkers and scourge; I've got codeine in my system and could go on about units and strategies so I won't, lol. My biggest and maybe only gripe, is the ground turrets or "spine crawlers" which seem weaker than the old ground turrets, and in my opinion, need a queen and some ground units to hold up against enemy ground early and some of mid-game; they seem less like general defense and more like insurance against harrassment.

I've been playing it on and off.

I suck at it since I've been dedicating most of my time to reading / exersizing / trying to get my life in order / DGN and *hangs head* Magic: The Gathering.

But if anyone wants to add me, my real id on is: TroySpiral@gmail.com (same as my regular email)
