Reaper
Well, in order to remain being able to make my house payments, I need to sell the hearse. Its on ebay here with the full description of what has been done to it. As painful as it is to sell it, I have to do it. With over $14000 put into it and $3000 just for buying it, I am just trying to get $5000 for it. Comes with the casket and prop as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190425788853&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT

Reaper
Aww...so sad. Hopefully it will find a lovely new home. Yeah, that and I hope I can sell it at all. Everyone is being so damn cheap about it. Had an offer for $2500 without the casket and prop. I told him I PAID $3000 for it plus another 12 grand in improvements and repairs. There is NO WAY I will sell it for less than $5000. Even if it means sacrificing my house. I don't sell anything for nothing.

Mean Salley
I need a bigger vehicle for doing shows and such, but I haven't saved 5 grand yet, and I'd get raped on mileage :/ But man it'd be great to roll up to a gig in that.
Rev.Reverence
Best wishes on the mission, Bro...I would take it & resell it, given proper funding..but, as I am not funded for that, all I can do is say a quick prayer for you...DONE. ~Tszura~
Oh, no! We all know how much you love your hearse, Reaper, and I'm sad to see that you're selling. I know we all have to do what we have to, though, and I wish you luck in selling it. Shame on whoever only wanted to give you 2,500 for it! I was going to suggest that you also put it on Craigslist, but I see you already have. The "Win a Hearse" contest on Craigslist sounds like a good idea, too. If you hooked up with some club/bar owners, or car shows to sell tickets, you may sell enough to make your $5,000 minimum. Just an idea. Good luck Reaper!! Hellion
This sucks I remember it was only a little over 4 years ago the I helped you bring it up to Mi from South Carolina. I really hate to see you sell:(
Reaper
Yeah I posted an ad on ebay as well and set the reserve for 5 grand. We will see what happens. It has gotten nearly 200 views already and 3 watchers when I checked early this morning.
amalthea23
I absolutely wept when I had to get rid of my '70 hearse, I feel your pain.
Reaper
Decided since I am going to lose the house anyway that I will keep the hearse. No sense in throwing away all the money I put into it just to get cheap offers on it. I like having it more than the house now anyway.

The nice thing about the hearse is it's big enough that you could live out of that for a while if need be!

freydis
A family member is learning that it takes quite awhile for them to get you out of your house. If they send you things looking to make refinancing/settlement with you, express interest, even if youre not sending the paperwork in to actually do it. It extends the amount of time you can be in there, as each one takes time they have to give you to make a decision, something like 3 mos every time. Once they come upon their last offers and schedule the sale, they still have to give you something like 6 mos after it sells to kick you out. This family member had to stop paying a few months ago and declare bankruptcy, and are finding it will be next March or April before they have to go. At worst, it may give you time to find work again and perhaps salvage the house. They were also told that if it goes to sale/auction, they have to be offered first chance at it. I am trying to go through the short sale process which is a shorter credit score hit than foreclosure and I could get another mortgage in 3 years instead of 7 or 10. Although after bankruptsy back in 04, I was eligible for a mortgage 2 years afterwards because I had been working hard on my credit. But I will definitely appreciate living cheaply again.
