I also voted for Logrus. I also really dig the sound of it. very memorable.

phalanx sounds too nasally to me, makes me think of larynx. oblivion chronicles sounds pretentious, and void memory isn't catchy enough to me, doesn't really make an impression on the mind. which I guess is kind of the point when you think about the words.... hehe.

Band names are hard. I always wanted to use "plateglass lollipop," when I was in a band, but the guys voted me out for "lemon twist." meh. such is life.

I went with Oblivion Chronicles. It has a nice flow, the words fit together nicely. Also the sense of the two words is appropriately flexible.

Xanax Nightmare was a close second altho maybe Clonopin Nightmare would be more appropriate since Clonopin makes people black out & behave very badly. I like the sense of Void Memory but the flow isn't as nice.

Phalanx sounds more like straight metal, Logrus sounds like death metal or a really pretentious goth band.

& Mallochai, Plateglass Lollipop is infinitely cooler than Lemon Twist. The latter sounds like a lounge band or something.... or some band that would play at a city-sponsored summer festival or street fair.

Xanax Nightmare is what i was living for 2 years. Without knowing the specific nature of the type of music your planning on doing with this project its hard to vote. "Xanax Nightmare" sounds more like a guitar & drums oldschool goth/rock type band name to me than a grindy industrial powernoise type thing. (which is my mild asumption of what you may be thinking of doing)

Oblivion Chronicles it is!

To everyone that voted, I say thank you! I loved every name that was offered up here, which was why I put it to a vote.

I am hard at work on all of my music right now (Warghoul and this one), and I am looking at the (Now so dubbed) Oblivion Chronicles CD to be done and ready by mid-September at the latest. I will have a few things coming up in the next month or so, in regards to Oblivion Chronicles, so that everyone can see the progress.
