KatRN05
I'm still pissed at them for firing Mustis and Vortex but what the hell, I'll take a listen. Update: Not bad. I liked the female vocals. The sound sounds completely different and a bit more complex than their previous stuff. I too miss Mustis and Vortex, but think about it like this, Dimmu's best stuff was produced before they joined the band. I like the female vox at the end, but the first few lines are kind of annoying. She sounds like Ursula from the Power Rangers.... "And now I will concur the Earth!!" KatRN05
I liked the stuff they came out with when Vortex and Mustis were in the band. I did really like In Sorte Diaboli despite a lot of people saying what crap it was. The female vox kind of sucked at first but got better towards the end of the song. I do like that they actually used an orchestra for the album. Edited September 6, 2010 by KatRN05
Simon Bar Sinister
one of APop's former keyboardists is supposedly going to be DB's touring keyboard player. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=145572
KatRN05
Regarding Mustis, what the hell happened to him? Never heard anything ever since he got fired. I do have to say that towards the end of the song it reminded me of old Cradle of Filth. People will hate me for saying that but after reading some reviews of it, a lot of people said something similar. EatAjaxAndDie
Mustis was fired over "songwriting credits" which just sounds like a bullshit reason to me. However, Vortex was fired for being a drunken moron. He forgot his bass at a festival in Europe, and was so drunk on stage that he could hardly play a lot of times. I remember seeing them a few years ago and after the performance, I got my ticket signed by most of the band, and I came over to Vortex. He was being held up by about 4 girls because he couldn't stand of his own power, and he told me this in a super thick Norwegian accent: "I come to America because of your women" It was rather funny, but you could tell the guy had problems with his liquor. I received...an "advance" copy of the CD if you will...it isn't their best work by far but it is nowhere near as bad as Death Cult Armageddon, which I believe to be their worst album. This album probably is in the middle. I did enjoy In Sorte Diaboli as well. Pretty solid album. My favorites are still Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, and For All Tid.
