TitsMcGee
Seeing as my brother has been to Iraq twice, it's not that amusing.
Darkmatter
It is amusing. (No disrespect to soldiers) But days after the "Withdraw from combat" there was a terrorist attack...Who responded to it you ask? We did. This is just a step towards the end , hopefully in the right direction. At least it will get some of our soldiers home ,and if not home , it will get some (hopefully) where they need to be. Withdrawing yes. End of combat operations...I think not.
Scar My Machine
This is making me look fondly on the Vietnam war. And that's a disaster that we can all agree on.............maybe. Anyway............... This is (IMO) the worst military campaign this nation has ever been part of, when will the politicians take responsibility for their reckless and careless actions that have killed countless innocent people? Let me offer an answer to my own question..........never. Bush figures he's out of office and doesn't have to worry about repercussion for his absent minded decisions about declaring war on Saddam. I guess when you're rich you can fuck up in major ways and not have to pay the price. Only the poor and defenseless pay for government mistakes. When will it ever end? Darkmatter
50,000+ Troops are still there. Once every one of them come home. Then the end may begin.
angry_darkness
We are still in Germany,Japan and Korea. Lets pull back from everywhere destroy all our weapons and give a terrorist a big hug.
Epic_Fail_Guy
Dude, Germany, japan, and Korea aren't really bases that we're "at war" with. Germany is actually an awesome place for soldiers to get stationed, so is japan depending on the mindset of the soldier. Korea still kinda sucks ass, it's dangerous but you can still leave post there and check out the country. Iraq Will be like that someday. If we keep only one post in Iraq, it will most likely be Balad. I'd think they'd keep 2 or 3 posts in Iraq though most likely. Also another thing, quite a few posts have shut down/are shutting down in Germany too. But at the same time, to compare it to Vietnam is a really bad comparison. True there's a lot of similar things going on such as civilians getting involved with terrorist and/or guerrilla activities against US soldiers as well as a bunch of political bullshit. The thing is, and as much as I disagreed with almost EVERY decision and action the Bush administration made, I will say one thing. It's time to stop pointing the finger as to who's fuck up it is. It's a waste of time, we can do that later and figure out if the choices were punishable crimes. What's important now is looking at what happened to figure out how to get out of the situation we're in with all these middle eastern countries instead of finding who we can burn for getting us involved in these situations.
