Debaucherous Devil's Night Party @ Chateau de Chernilence, Warren MI

We are finally having our first party and what better night to party it up in the south side of Warren than Devil's Night. We'll probably have a nice view of Detroit burning from my front porch!

Who: All of you guys, plus more of our crazy friends, roommates, and probably our badass neighbors.

What: A costume party and a celebration of the only night darker and more deviant than Halloween itself. A Detroit tradition celebrated in a friendly way at a safe location NOT in Detroit (but close enough).

When: October 30th, Devil's Night, I mean duh, it's in the title (7pm is a good time for people to start showing)

Why: Because it's about damn time we have a party!

How: PM me for the address and to informally RSVP. An RSVP is not ABSOLUTELY necessary or cemented in stone, it's just to give me a generalized number of how many to expect. I just ask that any non-DGN guests be approved by me ahead of time if I do not know them.

What cool shit we have to offer:

~ Legitimately haunted house, last two homeowners died here suddenly and tragically, which will most likely be my story eventually .

~ Fire in the backyard

~ Food and possibly alcohol (I still suggest BYOB, but we may get some liquor)

~ Music, board games, and chilling upstairs in the living room

~ Movies in the basement in the sitting area

~ More video gameage than you can shake a stick at (srsly...what like, five consoles? Two 360s LANned together with multiple copies of Modern Warfare 2, World at War, Transformers, etc)

~ Free Wi-Fi

~ Pancakes in the morning if you are a trooper and stay the night

~ Zany shit. I mean, a house that myself, Pestilence, Timata and a metal head share, trust me, amazing times .

~ A very central location close to everything, namely 10-15 minutes from CC for when you guys ditch me and decide the club that you go to every weekend is cooler than a party with people you like and awesome music (with is what is most likely a better sound system )

If you DO crash here, it is first come first serve and you should bring something to sleep on. It will be on the floor and you may be situated in the vicinity of others, so if that gives you the willies, not recommended. If you know that you want to crash out here ahead of time that can be arranged prior to the party.

WARNING: We have four cats and our asshole dog, Frank. The cats will not be present for the party and I will be cleaning the house thoroughly the night before, but I felt the need to say it in case anyone has severe cat allergies.

I kinda figured many DJs wouldn't attend due to CC, but I had to have the party on a weekend. That's why I put down 7pm, that's late enough to start a gathering but early enough for people who are going to bail to pop in for a few hours. Especially because, as it says, centralized location like 10-15 minutes from CC, all freeways.

Bumping again in case there's anyone who hasn't seen it. Seems like I'm getting the most replies out of people either on Facebook though or by word of mouth, but meh, just in case. Seems like a lot are going to CC, which I kind of expected because for a place that everyone is constantly bitching about everyone sure goes to it a lot . I will say it has definitely gotten better since a year or two ago. Still going to have an okay turn out at my place as it is forecasted right now though, so no worries

And keep in mind that if anyone is leaving CC and still wants to hang out somewhere that is only a 10-15 minute drive from the club, we'll most likely still be up.

All I have to say is WOW. I can guarantee that if you weren't at this party, you didn't have as much fun as you could have .

Can I get a Samuel L. Jackson from those who were in attendance? (And some DAMN pictures already?)

Had people show up that I DIDN'T expect to show up and then people who were supposed to 100% show up did not, go figure. Detroit caught on fire much more this Devil's Night (literally, read it in the news) than in previous years and it's most likely because the spirit of debauchery was with us at this party .

Next stop: New Years for people who don't want to get duped into paying $20 at CC to go do the same thing as every weekend. Hope to see everyone there
