it's friday saturday AND sunday, you can make it at least SOME of the time! it's a 24 hour convention and it's at the rencen this year. and the dance [rave] is super funnn.

My daughter is going with a group of friends and one of their dads. They did the Hetalia them last year and this year Angel is dressing up as Rin Kagamine (Alice Human Sacrifice version)from Vocaloid. (the last part of this message was thread jacked by Angel)

And I am not only half weaboo, but I am south of 9 Mile and in Warren so I am also half wigger, along with half rivethead, half man, half bear, and half pig. I've never understood why people can't sample other cultures and all that jazz without people looking down on them for it, too afraid to do it themselves? Diversity is better than everyone having to fulfill a preconceived stereotype set by others :animier:. As long as you're picking your tastes because you genuinely love them and not to try to fit in somewhere, I don't see the problem.

I have too much going on this year to attend Youmacon. I'd need more time to prepare cosplay shit and all that. I've got so many ideas but haven't had time to do it with all the catching up that's been going on in my life lately :stuart:

What the hell is a weaboo?

A phrase created by people on the internet with too much time on their hands, apparently (i.e. see 4chan). I had to go look it up. Will say it's funny that we now have a term for white/Japanese culture-crossing much like wigger for white/black culture-crossing.

I hereby coin the term watino for any white people out there who love tequila and are aching for a burrito right now (much like myself) :tongue:. I also declare myself half watino...

psh. I am totally allowed to cosplay. I'm under 250 pounds and don't have horrible acne, so it's perfectly okay that I dress up as hot video game characters.

anyways.

Hetalia ftw, and looveee Vocaloid D: I suck at costumes and didn't have much time to make my costumes this year, so wah. but I did manage to scrounge a handful of my costumes together; I'm doing Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy 8, Poison Ivy, Molotov Cocktease from Venture Bros, and possibly a harry potter costume with a friend, baha

Thanks for the clarrification Cher. Being that I love Kurisawa movies, Godzilla movies and old Japenese anime like Gotchaman plus the culture and history I am Weaboo!

Akira Kuroawa is one of the most celebrated film makers in history, and Godzilla is an Icon, they dont count as they have very little to do with anime. But its cool to find out you enjoy those movies! we should talk film sometime...
