This episode amazes me for several reasons, but on a personal level, the people we watch South Park with on Wednesdays are huge into DBZ. Pestilence and I are huge followers of the goth kids. I take it by this end song they're probably going to theme the next episode after DBZ (maybe not, but that's how it seems because they left off that way) and it will be infused with goth kid goodness.

I feel a little retarded on two parts: I did not guess that the goth kids would be in it, but the fact that it is a C'thulu episode, I really should have known better. Also, and this goes for everyone in my friends group also, we ALL thought Mysterion was Craig. We actually sat down and spent about two hours trying to figure it out and all of us deemed that it HAD to be either Craig or Clyde. Never once did anyone guess that Mysterion would be Kenny, although looking back on it, we did not eliminate him by process of elimination. I now feel like a dumbass . I love the fact that they're blending it with the ongoing "OMG You killed Kenny, you bastard!" theme, and will probably make it "explainable" in the next episode.

I CANNOT wait for next Wednesday.

Kenny had crossed my mind in the first episode but i qickly dismissed it becuase i thought they wouldnt give him any actual lines...just his infamous muffled chatter threw his hoodie while the other boys translated it for "us" to hear and know what he said.....but this season is off to a pretty good start so far.

Yeah, can't remember if there are three episodes left in the season or two. Will have to look that up. Almost done though, makes me sad :crybaby:.

Then we'll have to wait until spring for more South Park!

Yes, not only do I know about it, but it is single-handedly the reason I canceled my cable five years ago and never looked back .

nice..Hulu.com is also an awesome site :p I dunno how the next episode will play out....I think by far my favorite scene of that episode is when the lil kindergarten goth kid when on his rant and told Kenny he was ganna "watch the crimson blood leak from his neck"

LMFAO!

I think they probably made that reference because it's South Park and not everyone viewing would get a reference such as "It's like a Skinny Puppy concert that never ends." I said the same "WTF" when they said it in the episode, trust me. I've seen NIN once (I know, I was young and dumb ) and it was super not dark at all, just Reznor on stage singing with a band playing. I still thought the line was funny in the show though, regardless of the inaccuracy.

At least one of you better know what the C'thulu song was mocking!

I and a few of my friends said DBZ. Our friend Ricky insists that it's Never Ending Story. Still not 100%.

The Cthulhu song was mocking J-Pop from what I could gather.

See? Hence why we thought DBZ because of several reasons:

The house we watch South Park at is FULL of DBZ nuts who have almost all of DBZ, DB, and DBGT down pat. I also used to watch it in junior high and high school and I too thought they were making a stab at DBZ.

The part in question is when little Goku (or maybe it was Gohan, like I said, it's been a long time) is flying around on Nimbus and there is some cheesy ass J-pop song playing in the same exact style and almost same wording as the South Park C'thulu song.

DBZ it is. I will call Achilles later and rub his face in it .

I fail because I don't know my Miyazaki films (have only seen one, SK brought it over for anime night awhile back).

*facepalm*

Congrats, you just won Japan (Taiwan not included in winnings).

You realize this warrants A Clockwork Orange style initiation into the works of Miyazaki, don't you?
