What do you want to be when you grow up?

Recommended Posts

I consider myself a meditative autodidact which as of writing this, broadens the paths in which I am able to be broke. I’ve put the most focus into my writing, having little to no social life except reading and critiquing good literature and writing; I have two Fiction novels to finish and I wouldn‘t mind making some money or a career as a writer. Lately this year I’ve been thinking about becoming a personal trainer and/or getting a science degree.

Think about what you just said a few minutes, and tell me if you think thats true, lol.

Meh, Degrees are overrated. What makes a good DP is a good eye for framing a scene. If you can do that, you can DP. And when I say small indy film I really do mean SMALL. It would probably have to be something where it is you and some friends working on rented equipment, using out of pocket cash, probably not going to be something you'll have investors on. Would also probably be a short film, or a series of short films. If you've created something that gets people's attention, no one is going to care whether you have a degree or not.

I think it would be cool to own multiple companies with specific time set aside to oversee them for the sake of stress reduction; not as a means of personally making tons of money, but to decentralize and humanize corporate structure, giving that money to workers to be paid the same or more for less hours, seeing what that does for efficiency, and setting a new standard for the middle class.

I would love to be a Financial Mogul. I have traded commodities, stocks and FOREX. However, after becoming a full time home care provider, I had to put that on hold for a bit because that is a rather time consuming past time. I am currently looking into becoming a paralegal and/or notary given the number of documents we end up paying others to handle for us. But after the amount of paperwork I have had to personally write-up to schedule hearings through Probate Court, I'm starting to feel like an expert at court documents. So definitely no intimidation there...
