Well, the Democrats only want to get done things on Their agenda.

They won't listen to Republicans, who are trying to act on behalf of the American people.

So, they have to play hardball to get the Democrats to listen, so be it.

The Republicans want to get Bush tax cuts dealt with, and the Democrats don't give a damn, so the Republicans gotta do what the Republicans gotta do.

You have just described both parties there....

They won't listen to Republicans, who are trying to act on behalf of the American people

I would have to disagree with you there..... I am an American person, and they seem to be doing things that are against my well being.

So, they have to play hardball to get the Democrats to listen, so be it.

So the ends justify the means? This way NOTHING GETS DONE

The Republicans want to get Bush tax cuts dealt with, and the Democrats don't give a damn, so the Republicans gotta do what the Republicans gotta do.

Yeah.... thats the problem, I don't like what the republicans "gotta do" (Or the democrats for that matter.... ) But yeah, kids fighting over a toy in sand box.... I wonder which party will be the first to hold their breath until they turn blue in the face and pass out to get their way.

They should've just done everything when they had the chance. But no, "we're the democrats we don't want to make the republicans feel bad. I don't want a democrat like FDR anymore. I want a democrat like Truman, who just does what he has to and doesn't mind hurting the feelings of republicans

What "has" to be done and what Democrats want to do are two different things.

Democrats want to pass even more entitlements and raise taxes to pay for them in a bad reccession.

What has to be done is spending needs some serious cuts. Social Security needs to be fixed ASAP. Medicaide and Medicare need to be fixed. The Health care overhaul needs to be tossed out before it kills this coutnry. It's not what we were told it was. Hence 111 waivers given out to unions nad corperations so they are excempt... Most of those were given to companys and unions that pushed hard to get the over haul passed.

Okay, point taken.

However, IF Obamacare is implemented, as it stands now, and our country goes bankrupt, what will you say Then ?

Also, which is worse ?

The Republicans "holding their breath till their faces turn blue, to get what they want" as was characterized in a previous post ?

Or

The Democrats, who just rammed the bill(s) through Congress, Without reading them, whether we liked the bill(s) or not.

I think neither example is good for us American persons, but we're stuck with them.

I have a theoretical question....

In your opinion (and I mean your as in whoever is reading this)

Would you rather have a political party that does stuff.... and does not do it well? Or one that refuses to do anything, and in fact tries to prevent anyone else from doing anything at all?

To answer your question, I would rather have one that does nothing, because that would be better then having one that is deliberately trying to screw up the country, make life hell for its citizens, and fundamentally change the country into something it was never meant to be.

Let's be clear on this, The Democrats refuse to do anything, other then what They want to do, and The Republicans are trying to prevent them from doing what They want to do, because what They want to do, is horrifically bad for the country.

This is the truth, you can spin it any way you want to.

If you believe the Democrats are deliberately trying to skrew up the country.... I think that you might be hopelessly brainwashed by the right.... Just as those who believe that all Republicans are bad are hopelessly brainwashed by the left.

I'm gonna have to agree with Phee on this one. I too am an American person, and they are definitely not acting on my behalf."

I also have to agree with Phee here. I am an American, and the Republicans are not acting on my behalf.
