If you believe the Democrats are deliberately trying to skrew up the country.... I think that you might be hopelessly brainwashed by the right.... Just as those who believe that all Republicans are bad are hopelessly brainwashed by the left.

Good one, Phee!

Hopelessly brainwashed ? We'll see who's hopelessly brainwashed in about 3 weeks or so.

So, I need to give examples of how I think the Democrats are deliberately trying to screw up the country ?

Okay.

1) Obamacare

2) Our current national debt, which as I heard this evening, is almost 14 Trillion dollars, that's 14,000,000,000 dollars = approx. $41,500 of debt owed by Every citizen alive today.

Both of these things are the result of the Democrats' agenda, thus far.

Tell me if you can, how this has made your life better ?

If your yearly income, is in the range of $50,000/yr, come January 1st, your yearly income tax is going to be about $2900/yr More.<--Both parties are dropping the ball on this at the moment.

This is an example of what will happen if your income falls in that range, if Congress doesn't act.

People have said, "Republicans have not made my life better", okay.

Do you know why ?

They have not had a chance to.

They have been the minority party in Congress since 2007.

Everything they have tried to do on our behalf(s), has been shot down by the Iron fist of the Democrats.

So, let's see what happens is what I'll finish up by saying.

I know that I have a better chance of getting hit by lightning then I do of winning an argument with a Democrat.

Well, after lurking here for some time, and reading what has gone on... it seems that Machine's persistence in what he was posting was getting him in trouble... 'Scar My Machine' posts ALOT of ignorant shit, but he gets a free pass because he shit is anti-establishment/anti-american. Machine posts pro republican/american stuff, he gets flamed and eventually banned. YES he did things with no tact, but it's the Internet? Who gives a fuck?

If I recall correctly, that poster that was mentioned, his posts were far more anger/sarcasm laden then my posts are.

I actually like to try to contribute to the conversation.

If people disagree with me, I think that's wonderful; we will continue to have stuff to discuss.

Politically speaking, I tend to disagree with Scar quite often. However, said individual tends to conduct himself in a civilized manner. I am by far, anti American. And if you wish to think of me as ignorant because my thoughts and opinions differ from yours feel free to do so.

I like to think for myself and not tow the party line. I am more middle of the road if you must know.

I question all political parties and am not a fan of most suits. Being suspicious does not make one un patriotic.

And yes, I do take a very dim view of the Republican party because they are more blatant (imo) in their support of tax cuts for the wealthy and they have voted down tax cuts for the poor and unemployment extensions for those that are struggling to make ends meet.

How can I rally behind and support a group that is more willing to allow people's lives to go down the drain and continue to give tax cuts to those that already have more than enough money to live on?

Please explain to me how I am ignorant in not thinking that the wealthy need more money in their pockets at the expense of the poor and middle class.

So someone is supposed to work their dick off to get wealthy just to turn around and have it taken away and given to poor people against their will? I'm for charity, but that's just stealing. I don't believe in stealing just because some people are poor, and SORRY, but many of them probably did not try hard enough. Some did, but most did not. In America everyone can go to college for free, if you don't and don't pursue being rich, you can't turn around and expect the government to steal on your behalf. It's wrong.

I have never advocated taking from the rich. But from what you say then I ask, is it ok to take from the poor to bail out the rich?

And let me ask you, why did John Q. Taxpayer have to bear the burden of bailing out the wealthy investors on wall street? So that was ok? When they fucked up and got in over their heads with greed and lost their asses on the stock exchange it was ok for them to get billions of tax payers dollars to keep them from losing everything?

What about the average American? Where was their bailout? Please show me where it is ok to bail out the rich and not the common American.

If these wealthy people are such hard workers and got wealthy on their own hard work then they should be able to get back to that point on their own right?

I don't recall seeing small stores get bail outs or mom and pop stores get bail outs. Those places went under. Maybe it's because they didn't have a lobbyist in Washington with connections to get tax money to help them stay in business.

And now the same banks that faced going under and accepted tax dollars to keep them in business refuse to lend money because they say people are too much of a risk to lend too? Um, hello kettle, how are you?

The banks were taking risks and came out on the short end so you, I and every other not so well to do person is now paying for the mess up.

I don't think that was a fair deal. Not only to us but to future generations.

Wouldn't it be great if how much wealth someone had actually had more to do with HOW HARD YOU WORKED? A lot of people I know would be millionaires and billionaires, and a lot of the people who only seem to work hard at fucking over the poor, would have to wait in line at the friggen soup kitchen to get their help.

But that's not the way it is.

So that's why I am against these tax cuts for the rich. I feel sorry for the few rich folks that honestly worked their way up from the bottom and earned what they have... but I feel much more sorry for the victims of the rich who lost their homes, food, and hope because of greed.

Luckily for the people who are rich, both honestly and dishonestly, the people took a big vote to make the rich richer, and the poor more easy to victimize... so congrats. One more step to the end of the middle class.

Raising taxes on ANYONE in this economy is bad.

Why is this concept so difficult for Democrats to grasp ?

70% of All jobs in this country are created by small business.

Small business owners fall into the income bracket of people that Democrats demonize and Hate so much.

If I've said this once, I've said it a Million times;

if the business owner gets their taxes raised, their payroll goes down, and that means less JOBS.

You can't create jobs by Taxing people to Death.

If people don't have JOBS, then they are NOT Paying TAXES, so that means that the rest of us that Do have jobs, we have to pick up the slack, and that hurts.

LOW Taxes = MORE JOBS = Better Economy, Why do Democrats Oppose this !!!????

Though I don't consider myself a democrat (to conservative for me) I'll answer for ya. It's probably a different answer for some people but with me it has to do with experience.

About four years ago I had a job at a small business. There may have been one person I've wished death upon in the past ten years and it was the owner. I was completely untrained for my job but he had no problem berating me when something wasn't done right (even though I had asked to be trained and he never felt like doing it). I made $7.25 an hour there, the highest paid person (apart from him) made $10 an hour. When asked what he had done with his tax break money by another business owner, he replied "I bought another boat".

It was at that point I moved WAY to the left because it became apparent to me that most people like him don't give a shit about anyone else. His son had also

been in the shop a few times, though not being employed there proceeded to berate an employee. So we can all see who will one day run this company.

My only hope is that we learn how to resurrect people so we can bring Theodore Roosevelt back to life to put the smackdown on these people

Unfortunately, scenarios like this that happen more than I would like to see.

I would like to believe that people would have the idea of putting back into the business if the money in taxes is saved, but basilar instincts seem to win (i.e. greed.)

I would welcome specific examples with documentation/references about lower taxes increasing the jobs in market domestically. Over the last decade with these cuts enforced, the job market appears to have shrunk.

Let me say something to make it clear, Machine was a Troll. His political stance, though unpopular, had nothing to do with his banning. I don't even have to be a mod to understand that. He would spew absolute garbage and was very insulting at the same time.

This is why Creature, though in my humble opinion is misguided (since it was the BUSH ADMINISTRATION aka, neocon republicans, that put us 14 trillion dollars in dept, somehow works out in his mind as the democrats doing from my understanding of his post), is not a horrible trolling attempt like machine.

If you want my personal experience with Machine, I hardly doubt the guy was even republican. But almost 100% possitive he was a massive failure at being a troll. Alot of the stuff he would post, the other "extreme" republicans couldn't even agree with. And alot of his stuff was just sooo far out in left field that nobody with any remote sign of intelligence would agree with his side. I have a hunch that he was just posing as a republican with very illogical and incoherent ideas to either make republicans look bad (most likely strategy) or to make liberal/democrats RAGE. Either way, he kept up because people kept feeding him.

as far as taxes go, to fairly distribute taxing between the rich and the poor, the ratio is the most rational principal way i can think of. Instead of having a cap off, where taxes top increasing even though your income keeps increasing, have a fair, standard, across the board, everybody included, number.

Say.. oh just for example, 10% of your income goes to taxes.

Ok so the rich will pay more, but they make more, but when you think about it, someone making 100 bucks a month only gets taxed 10 dollars and walks off with 90, the one making 1000, taxed 100 dollars, but walks off with 900. he's getting a heavier tax yes, but also, he's still walking off with 10 times as much money as the first guy.

To me, that's the only truely fair way to do it.

As for the obamacare, it's a great idea, just a terrible time to do it. We have to unfuck the shit the bush administration put us in before we can try to improve other things.

In a manner of speaking as an analogy, the republicans... no i take that back.. the bush administration dug this country into a hole. The democrats, god bless their stupid little hearts, aren't understanding that we gotta dig ourselves out of this hole and fill it up before we can build on it.

+ 25 on the first sentence. On the second sentence regarding the Democrats, I will say this: they're trying to dig us out of the hole, but certain idiots, namely the Republicans, keep blocking their efforts, because they'd rather have another Gilded Age where greed and corporate abuse ran rampant. Simply put, Republicans care for nothing more then money.

To dig oursleves out, we must undo what has been done, not create new programs to cover over the clusterfuck. so yes, they're intentions are to fill in the hole, but they're actually trying to build something on top of the hole..

And what happens when you build something on a weak.. or virtually no foundation at all? Yeah that's right, it'll fill the hole alright.. in a broken mess.

I refuse to call what we have now, democrats or republicans, by those names. They're not what they used to be.

Instead I shall rename them this.

Republican party is now recognized to me as Corporate whores

And the democratic party is now recognized to me as clueless jerkoffs

DISCLAIMER: These insulting names are limited to the actual political parties in office, not the voters.

There's a rumor going around that Bush did everything right and it was the Dem's that created all of our current debt and jobless rates.

Oh, and the housing market bust was their fault too, you know, deregulating was their fault even though the Conservatives are the one's always pushing for deregulation because they claim it will create jobs.

Yea, deregulation of the housing market was the best thing the republicans did for America. It cost jobs and made middle class people homeless.

I guess they didn't work hard enough.

Our currrent debt crisis was caused by the Housing crisis.

The Housing crisus was NOT caused by Deregulation. It was caused by regulations forcing Fanny and Freddie to give out loans to people who could not pay them back.

Bush started warning about the coming Housing crisus in 2003. He wanted to REGULATE Fanny and Freddie along with the whole Loaning industry. All his efforts were blocked by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd...
