He did a lot of calling out in this segment, which stirs people to research things on their own. It's people like Maher that I wish could be more accessible to the public on TV. We have television, but just the free public channels. I wish this kind of calling out, and people with different views were able to have more access to the public. Also, I think some politicians do a wonderful job in grasping on one thread of an idea, and then running with it as their own, changing the face of the original idea until someone like Maher lifts off the veil. It amazes me, however, that spinning lies never stops a politician even when they are exposed. They just pick up with another lie, run with that, and keep going. The only reason I can see is that people want to believe is some symbol, or even the idea of an idea, even when its full of shit, just to believe in something, or even to create a certain version of themselves.
