pleasurekatzen
Who knows if it will show. The last few storms that we got were supposed to be WAAYYY worse than they turned out to be. I guess it all depends on if the storm stays the course.

Destroit
FUCK YES! Who's coming over to the Chateau to help me put the finishing renovations on the snow condos? Think I'm naming the complex "Wintergrasp"... Now for something 100% serious: I fucking love snow. I am a blend of nationalities that comes from the northern parts of Europe, including Scandinavian. That's like being surprised a husky would love it in Alaska. Edited February 1, 2011 by Chernobyl

torn asunder
As usual there was an over reaction. not out this way - i've got well over a foot of snow in my driveway, probably closer to 15-16" with drifting, and it's still coming down. i've got 4 rows of 4x4 landscaping timbers along my driveway & i can barely see them! Simon Bar Sinister
we might've gotten half of that here in Pontiac. the drifting is very different on each side of the house. behind the house, the snow might be 4" deep...while it looks like there's a drift between here and the mailbox at least 18". LadyKay
My poor husband went to Indian for work and is now stuck there. I told him to just stay until it is safe to come home. I let the dog out (a Lab) and the snow is up to her belly and still falling.
Destroit
FUCK YES. I woke up, looked out the window, and it was like getting Christmas presents all over again. Felt a little jipped at first because it was a mere 8:30am and the snow had seemingly stopped. I later rejoiced after going to sleep again, waking up, and looking outside to the second part of the blizzard. I <3 Michigan. People that live in places like Florida are super nuts, imo! Really wish I had money for a lift ticket. I'd get in my car and head up to Mt. Holly today if I did. FUCK YES. Here too. West Michigan got slammed, over 18 inches on top of what was already a hell of a lot of snow. I've got drifts in my front yard higher than the roof of my car. Gonna take me hours to dig that sucker out. Good exercise. Glad I wasn't in Chicago though, ugh, people stuck on Lakeshore drive for over 10 hours. (Did they not see it coming?? can't understand why they didn't close roads but I guess it was way worse than expected there). taysteewonderbunny
Well, it's still snowing in Rochester Hills. The storm sure didn't end on schedule, though it started almost exactly at 7pm yesterday as predicted. Right now we have only six inches of new fallen snow. And even though some drifts, like the one on our back deck, are an impressive 24 inches, this storm has fallen far short of its acclaimed 10 to 15 inch accumulation. Maybe the late and continuing snow will make up for it. I'm hoping not.
