Kindergarten Is Too Much Work

Recommended Posts

Just a cute little rant for your enjoyment: My 5 year old is in Kindergarten, and Valentines day is coming up. So I have to cut and write out 22 Valentines, make a Valentines box out of a shoe box, decorated and all. Then, to celebrate 100 days of school. I have to count out 100 M&M's or some other small candy and place them in a zip lock bag. Oh and I also have to get 30 party napkins to bring the Valentines day party.( no one asked. She just brought home a paper and next to her name it said 30 party napkins. Would be nice to be asked). I just don't have time for all this stuff. Why can't they have the kids do this stuff in school? They know good and well it is going to be the parent who is cutting, pasting, writing on Valentines day cards and counting out 100 M&Ms. She's 5 years old for pet sake! When I told her we have to do all this stuff she just looked at me and said "what?" LOL

Okay, that's my little rant. Hope you enjoyed it I know I have. :peanutbutterjellytime:

My oldest is starting Kindergarten in September. Now I know what I have to look forward to lol. Instead of making the Valentines couldnt you just buy a box of cartoon charater ones? That way its not so much work?

Well actually, I found some free ones online that I printed out. I just had to write the names on them all. Got that done and I counted out 100 fishy crackers. Now just need to get the box made and the 30 party napkins. :happydance
