Monthly DGN Gatherings

Recommended Posts

While club nights are great for gathering people, in the past some of our greatest events have been non-club nights. We've done Laser Quest, bowling, movie nights, dinners, house parties, camping, roller skating, sushi outings and what have you. We were thinking of possibly hosting an event night every month starting sometime next August-September. The reason for the delay is that, as it stands currently, there will be an event every month up until then. What I want to know, is how many people would be interested in attending monthly field trip outings and secondly, if interested, what kind of events would you be into? Anything you've want to do that is group-friendly, sky's the limit!

As much as you know I would totally love that, DGN events have to be legal

Pest brought up a good point, it might be bi-monthly, just because we don't want to hog all of the events and also we don't want to overburden ourselves. We'll basically play it by ear. But maybe monthly, maybe bi-monthly, maybe off and on like that.

Some ideas we thought of: Arcade night (Golf and Games would be amazing for this, and I could pwn people in some DDR ), bowling (been done but fun), DIA, Cedar Point, skating (also been done, but fun), Detroit Zoo, casino night, snow skiing, ice skating, etc.

This sounds fun. In the past I haven't always been able to make it these since I either don't have the money at the time or find out last minute so something like this would help people like me. :) So that way I can come and bug you guys more lol. As far as to doing what...ummm anything sounds fun really. I like the sushi idea, and Cedar Point would be awesome, camping, bowling, paint ball, lazer tag, i'm sort of drawing blank past anything that's already been said but will try to come up with some.

I'm amazed there hasn't been a DGN BBQ.

then again, maybe that happens at Manfast.

There was. I don't think they did it last year, but the year before Rev and OMG hosted one at Metro Beach, shortly after MANFAST. And yeah, MANFAST is 190% BBQ, 240% alcohol, and an outrageous percentage of testosterone . I personally would like to see a non-MANFAST casual BBQ again though, because they're honestly two different beasts entirely.
