the eternal
http://www.assemblylineconcerts.com/schedule.html The link takes you to a list of Detroit bands playing. What's missing? YOU! AJ'S MUSIC CAFE 240 W. 9 Mile Rd. Ferndale, MI 48220 248•399 • 3946 AJ'S is trying to break the Guiness Book of World Records for LONGEST CONCERT EVER! AND IT'S FREE! It's ALSO a benefit concert for the people of Detroit. There are still plenty of spots open. I have non-DGN musicians I'm going to support BUT I WANT YOU! If I was in a local music group, I'd want to do this. It's a way to get your music out to people who wouldn't normally hear it BUT would be totally open to ANYTHING because the AJs crowd is pretty pumped to help out Detroit. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I just think it's awesome that for 3 years in a row, AJ ONeil has stood up for Detroit's people and the auto industry here. TO GET YOUR BAND ON THE LIST click http://www.assemblylineconcerts.com/schedule.html find an open spot then go to AJs or call 248•399 • 3946

the eternal
No problem. Went last night. It was pretty awesome. After going to CC so much you'd think no one knew how to play an instrument. There was this 'Jumpin Blues' band. The guitarist was absolutely amazing! It reminded me that most rock and roll started with blues and that in the 80s a lot of dark music was called goth ROCK. Reading interviews from bands people think of in electronic terms like Smiths, New Order, Depeche mode and they'd actually talk about playing the guitar. Even dream pop like Cocteau twins was created BY guitars. GOOD TIMES. Anyway, I found out each night is dedicated to a different group of people. Last night I gave money to Community Living Services, which helps developmentally disabled people live independently. Monday is Autism. I didn't ask about which night GMHA is though (Goth Makeup Hair Assistance, an unreliable yet dedicated group who give unemployed goths the money they need to for hairfalls and eyeliner)
