Stuck At Prom!!!

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, I am at a loss for words!!!!

My friends son did this. He constructed his and his dates out fits. Here is the e-mail she sent.

Hello Everyone!

I am writing in hopes to get your vote for our son Robby! He went to his senior prom dressed in duct tape! He drew his design on paper, ordered the duct tape, then created his gown, and tux! It took him 60 hours of precious teenage time, and about $130.00 worth of duct tape! They looked fabulous, and they had the best time that they have ever had in the past 4 years of school dances that they have attended together!

Please go to www.stuckatprom.com, then click onto 2005 entries, go to page 6 (if your voting for Robby and Ronnie) they are number 3431! Please vote for them, as it could mean a wonderful scholarship of $2500.00 each for college!!!!

GO ROBBY AND RONNIE!!!!!

Thanks a bunch and we appreciate your support! Also, if you could pass this message onto your friends and relatives, this would be much appreciated!!

*VOTE FOR ROBBY!!!! # 3431!!!!

That is just wicked sweet! Kids are so much cooler now than when I was that age. Who says young'uns are lazy & unimaginative? I also noticed at least 4 or 5 same-sex couples, which is nice to see.

I'm sorry, I didn't vote for Robby altho their ensemble was very nice... I had to go with one ov the theme/historical ones entries. Tough choosing between the Elizabethan kids (3349, p.1) & the two Japanese-themed ones (3413, 3415 p.5)! Not to mention the several 17th-18th c. getups... And the rockabilly one... & the Gothica Maxima one... & the Vash the Stampede one... and... and...

I voted for them with 2 emails too! There was a couple in my senior class that entered this contest. They didn't win, but it was still awesome! The closes duct tape ever came to me at my prom was the time I used it as a bra.... *L*

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
