Find myself prefering non-video videos

Often I'm sort of "forced" to Youtube just due to the fact that a lot of music is just much more easily accessible there for stuff that I'm new to, most of the time , I actually prefer the "homemade" versions were its just the song with maybe an album picture or a few rotating pictures (or live concert footage that doesn't really have a "message"), rather than some attempt at a "movie" as I'd rather focus on the music than the theatrics. (Not to mention the audio is garbage on youtube)

The videos (most of the time) almost just seem like a distraction. Don't get me wrong many are very well done, I'd just rather interprate a song myself rather than having it "spoonfed" (or force fed) to me.

A lot of videos are VERY well done film (or better) quality productions. Especially the "big name" acts, who can afford 5 million dollars for a 3.5 minute "movie". I just for whatever reason *shakes fist* wan't it to be about the music. (Despite being a reforming film snob).

Many of the "pop" acts that people would tend to say are just drek, have art-film quality videos.

I usually turn on youtube and then go about my business and don't actually watch the video but just listen. Two videos that recently caught my eye was De/Vision- Rage and also Combichrist-Throat full of glass. Not that they were the greatest videos but I found them interesting.
