Wanted: Urban industrial blight-type junk

Recommended Posts

As I love all of the things included in the title of this post, have a house close to the ghetto, and am in need of decorating my backyard, I've decided that instead of going with the standard cookie-cutter Home Depot outdoor decor supplies, I'm going to make my backyard unique. The theme is going to be post-apocalyptic rivethead-style goodness, and what I'm looking for is free-to-cheap stuff that anyone might be offloading, including (but not limited to):

Metal window bars

Wooden pallets

CINDER BLOCK (super need for this, as much as I can have)

Regular house-building bricks (also a huge need for this)

Odd creepy statues

Any Heidelburg-ish kind of crap that you think I would like

Car rims

Used tires

LEGAL signs/advertisements (No stolen street signs, DICK )

Antique-looking furniture/tubs/sinks etc

Metal grating/fencing

A lot of this type of stuff is of the assortment that many people are trying to off-load and get rid of, but don't know where to do so without being wasteful or having to lug stuff away. If it is small enough to fit into my Cobalt (doesn't really matter how much it weighs, that's not an issue) and you live in an area that isn't too far, then I'll come get it. PM me if you've got weird urban-style junk lying around or know anyone who does . Thanks ahead of time :unworthy:.

Hey, I have a pretty decent size stack of bricks in the back of my garage that I never knew where to get rid of. I live in Roseville. I need some time to actually crawl back there and dig them out (my garage is in post-apocalyptic condition itself but not on purpose. lol)

Well you are conveniently my neighbor, as I'm in Warren. That would be AMAZING of you to do that, if you need me to help dig them out of your garage or something, I can do that. Anything to expedite the process. When you're ready to hook up and do something, PM me :unworthy:.

Well, if I drive home on leave in July I could bring along some crap from the ranges at Ft. Gordon...there are a ton of those punched iron plates used for runways and all sorts of other crap left over from Vietnam...

I could have badass random junk in my backyard...from NAM? That would be indescribable.

Also, if I could fake some paperwork you could even have your very own old and crusty Sergeant Major walking around and muttering in your backyard! He comes with tons of pre-programed phrases like "You slimy piece of shit" and "No you greasy fuck I won't retire" and "I served too long to take that damn PT test you damn child" and he even comes with kung-fu grip and a evil looking knife that fits perfectly with his demented mindset that has been warped after all these years...

Ok just kidding I can probably only get you the old metal junk...$12,000 gets you a 2.5 ton troop carrier that is completely functional...it is also from NAM! Oh and it is street legal too and will carry all of your friends to battle...

What would you say if I told you I have a few metal Oakley clothing displays fixtures in Livonia that I want to sell or trade off for Halloween decorations or other cool things. I was going to use them for my yard, but changed my mind on it. I also have a few mannequins too. PM me if you are interested.
