Manic Panic in major stores?

Recommended Posts

Manic Panic has been in stores since I was in junior high...? Or maybe it's just Noir Leather and the Road Show and stuff like that which did, and I just had no idea that other stores didn't .

they're already sold in some hot topics, or were for a while. you can get them at all sally's, I am imagining they'll carry them in meijers and walmarts or something then? can't fathom where else they'd carry em

That's what I think was going to happen. I just don't know if they have yet or not. I'm going to try to find that article and post it here so you all can see what I'm talking about.

Here it is.... It's passed 2010... So if anyone can find out what is going on with this I'd really appreciate it.

SEATTLE -- Under an exclusive worldwide license from Manic Panic and Tish & Snooky N.Y.C. Inc, InStyle Studio Corporation will launch the Manic Panic Cosmetics collection,

debuting at mass market stores in the second half of 2010, in time for the eminent holiday season.

"Manic Panic Cosmetics will stay true to the alternative, edgy heritage created by the original punk-rock sisters Tish and Snooky," says Alexander Lebedev,

founder of InStyle Studio Corporation. Former members of the renowned new-wave punk band Blondie, Tish and Snooky first rocked the beauty industry

when they launched their successful line of extreme hair colors in every shade of the rainbow. "This new cosmetics collection will focus on intense colors and products

to get the alternative look that continues to grow in popularity among teens and young adults. In expressing their own personal styles, they can experiment with dark, goth, rock or underground flair," explains Lebedev. "We are thrilled to be working with the talented group at InStyle Studio. They totally 'get' who we are, from our rock & roll aesthetic to our policy of no animal testing or ingredients.

We don't just sell it, we live it!" said Tish & Snooky.

Manic Panic Cosmetics will launch with a limited-edition Creature of the Night collection that capitalizes on the growing niche of non-traditional, non-conservative looks that currently isn’t being filled. It is a perfect fit for a brand as bold and creative as Manic Panic. The line offers different palettes that help create specific looks. Each palette includes step-by-step instruction cards created by Tish and Snooky. There is also a good mix of single items including vivaciously described, including crème eye liners in Raven and Fallen Angel, lipstick in Postmortem and Vampire's Kiss, pressed and crème powder in Virgin and Goth White, nail polish in Immortal and Heavy Metal. Also in line with Manic Panic's hair color heritage, there will be a collection of intense temporary color

hair sprays and stencils to allow for creative works of self expression. Items from the collection are available individually and in sets, packaged in stylish kits, with suggested retail prices from $4.00 - $10.00.

I didn't spend a lot of time looking but I looked. Googled it a few different ways. Didn't see anything as a follow up to that story. Also Local.com lists no local "large" store as carrying it. Although in the age of the internet its slowly becoming moot-ish I guess.

Random interesting area of the manic panic website:

I hope they do sell it in major stores. That way I can get their make-up without paying for shipping. I thought it was funny because I looked at that link and I own the goth bible and I get gothic beauty every time it comes out. I used to be on their boards before they closed them. So the other forum I'm on are the main people on those boards. Small world.

If you have a local Sally Beauty Supply you can get it from there without having to pay for shipping. You don't need a cosmetology license or anything to shop there.

UM, per the Manic Panic, I don't think they mean the hair dye, specifically, but their affiliate facial make-up (and temporary color hair-sprays). The stuff they describe in the article has been on sale in CVS, Walgreen's, and Rite Aid for over a year now. Most of it is offered more seasonally, especially closer to Halloween.

Really? What is the name of the line? I haven't seen it in any of those places. Is it only seasonal?
