Starcraft 2 - Anyone Playing?

Recommended Posts

There was a StarCraft 2 beta topic but might as well start a new one.

Anyone playing this?

My therapist (no lie) told me to one "play card games in real life or other mental-stimulation type "games" which include other people" (the idea being that insurance wont pay for whats called "occupational therapy for very long) or , if the social phobia prevents that at times, at least do something mentally stimulating that is quasi social.

So.. hey, cant help but play it then!

Real ID anyone?

Used to play it alot more than I do now, I cant seem to get out of low diamond level, and im very competitive so it just annoyed me. I am sure ill get back into it when Heart of the Swarm comes out (the expansion). If you want to play though tryo, id play a co uple with you. ive been playing alot of "League Of Legneds" as of late because alot of my friend started playing it. I still love sc2 though. I play terran and zerg. I refuse to play protoss, hate protoss with a passion.

Shit I'm prema-bronze I suck. I've not really went out of my way to learn the stats though other than how to counter a zerg or marine rush. (I play protoss)

Yeah I had several buddies that played LoL, just seems a little to intense for me reaction-time wise (even SC is a bit so) I used to play FPS games like a madman but since the car accident my stress level / raction time goes up with "twitch" stuff and even though LoL isnt as twitchy as a FPS, its super-competiitve at least the way my friends play it, and thats rough.

Same reason i had to quit raid leading the 20/40 mans in WoW, damn stress level is just too high. Miss it though.

I tried playing SC2 again recently. First, it took close to an hour for all of the updates and patches to finish. Then the game took forever to load. When I finally got my single player vs. computer game going, it simply froze. I had to shut everything down, restart my computer, and try again. From hitting the power on button to finally being able to play the game took about 20 minutes but at least it worked this time. But, the whole time the game ran fairly sluggishly. I really need a new computer but just can't afford one at the moment.

Yeah It did take forever for it to update all the patches and such, but seems to run pretty good for me now. I'm enjoying it. (although not as much as my beloved MTG (real life paper version)
