Aftermath, DGN Night at CC, July 2nd

Recommended Posts

Hah, I came, I said hi to Troy and was introduced to Siren, then I danced to two songs and decided I was tired of being hot (AC was acting up at work all evening) so I went for an hour long motorcycle ride instead. Good times :).

Had a good time AT the club (before and after was a different story)

Got there later than I wanted due to <insert random excuse>.

Did the whole pre-club hangout, ran into Saechalyn again (god damnit post woman) and hug out with her pre-club for a bit then headed in.

Dealt with the usual mostly nice front door staff and one random douche , always seems to be one at every "big" club I have ever been to that has multiple door people. (Or they just cant stand being talked to, which, you work for me not vice versa so /punt lol)

I think i figured out my problem with remembering peoples names (other than just the poor memory) they need to actually speak. Apparently I've "met" a few people like 10 times and am just now being able to know them on sight and its, apparently, the silent (or almost silent) people that i have the most trouble remembering. Wow learned something at CC.

There seemed to be a lot of people there that I never met before, not that that isn't always the case, but I just MET a lot of people i never met before, most of which are apparently longtime city clubbers (and yes I passed out cards)

I really need to just leave my credit card at home, i have almost no credit left (Bill Me Later in this case) and pissing what little I do have away on drinks, although I have no problem supporting clubs(obviously), is just not smart. /smacks self.

I'm not really sure who was randomly smacking my ass (or even if it was the same person) but hey, good times.

I attempted to stay in the DGN "Corner" for awhile on and off but its still unrealistic for now in heavy-promotion mode (and only having a few people helping as yet, but i really love you guys for helping the few that are)

Riku[ - ok. hah. I don't remember the details of the conversation but it was all good. Cool outfit btw.

Phee - Ho Le Crape he lives! Long hair too, wasnt expecting that. Good to see you in real life again. .. oh and epic fail on that aftermath post once every 4 years from my senior mod comon. :whip Seriously though great to see you.

Bean Water - Been awhile, not sure I've seen you since er... Reapers party maybe? Hope you can make it out more often.

Pleasurekatzen - Defiently prefer it when you DJ, I get more katzen time, even if you are miss popular. I get all sick when i dont get my random katzen time. Good to see you again as always. :flower:

Pulse State - Breif but nice as always. Been a long road. 10 years maybe? Your friend seemed really nice / cute too. *positive thoughts*

Siren - :animier: Holy crap. Heard your name a lot, but for some reason I just assumed I'd not see you out until i got raev's ass out again (which Ima start working on) great to talk to you, very kind/friendly.

Saechalyn - No really comon damnit, post. *shakes giant foam weapon of some sort*

Victoria - Sweetheart as always. Glad we finally got your name on some cards, seriously can use the help, and the friendly face to talk to. So about that "never drinking again" thing? WTF? :spank

Eeveee - "Do you recongize me now?" I think it was. Hah. Honestly I'm glad you said that, really need to give an old man some time, my brain is slow. Just say hi, ill get with the program. Nice seeing you again.

Shawn - Damn , like Nightcrawler or something. Hey there he is... BAMF .. wtf? Wered he go?

Dark Shadows - hrmm.. no really start typing!

DJ Arron - *waves*

Who am I missin? And seriously... come say hi, i have a hard-ish time seeing in dark lighting and if your not like 6 feet in front of me... well comon help a brother out.

City club was fun,

Though I must say it was kind of dampened by Troy pressuring me to post more on DGN (I know right?) even though I have a life and work and no real time for forums even though I was nice enough to join to begin with. Also not to happy about him talking badly of one of my friends either.

Other than that, I had fun even whilst being in pain. I still danced and had a decent time.

Troy that damn telemarketer.

My memory is pretty bad I'm not sure even who you are, sometimes it takes me a LONG time to even recongize people I know well. i guess I either don't remember, or I just never actually had you say "hi im Kat Cyanide" and so I don't recognize you as that and/or I'm not always sober, so even If I did know you were on the board I might have just been being a goofball or whatever.

Only way to build a community is to promote, otherwise there is nothing. No other way to do it without a billion dollars to advertize on TV or something, sorry if I offended you. Everyone here has a life, many of whom find or have found DGN to enrich that life.

If your doing us "a favor" by being here, but don't really want to be, that's fine, everyone has different interests.

I aplogize if I offended you somehow. Was not intentional.

Saturday was a great night, at least until I left the club. Good music, good people. I met Troy, Victoriavengeance and Shaun for the first time. I talked to Eevee, Zachariah Messiah, Aaron Hingst, Hellion and I bunch of non-DGN friends.

After I left, I-75 was closed due to flooding. Unfortunately, I could get lost in a phone booth and I-75 was the only route I knew to get to Raev's place. I wound up lost in some pretty bad areas in Detroit and it took me an hour and a half to finally find my way downriver. Needless to say, I was a bit stressed out.

We really need to get a cyberware GPS for you.

Wish I was there on the weekends. Love what I'm doing during the week. Weekends are a bit quiet.

Holy shit! I had no idea! :[

I remember you being worried about the flooding. You could've called me and I could have tried to help you out, dear.

Yikes. I got lost (but just due to having no clue where i was going once i made a wrong turn in the ghetto.) Stress is bad. *comforts*

Yeah honestly getting GPS on your phone (if you can afford it I cant) helps a lot, its not perfect but it will stop you from getting "really" lost.

Was great talking to you, hope its a more regular occurance in the future.

Crap part of that is i had a downswing in health and went into the cave from the "going out" just as you were "coming in" now that you left, I'm feeling better and going out more, and I'm SK-less. (Kahless- 1. pers. pron. Historical Klingon warrior. 2. n. The state or lack of SK)

.....she actually has a Tom Tom GPS ;)

She may be my partner in crime but she goes out without me regularly. We have things we do together and things we do separately. :)

She tries to drag me to CC from time to time and occasionally succeeds :p. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate CC - it's just that I don't feel the music anymore and I'm not going to ask the club to change to suit my ever evolving preferences. So, when I go - it's to socialize with people. When I check the "who is going" thread and see a lot of people I know have said they are going to go I am more likely to show up myself. If I don't think there will be people to socialize with there, I'll stay home.

Yes, but it was programmed by the town drunk! The piece of junk sends me all over hell's half acre and spits out random commands like "make a u-turn" while I'm on the freeway. I really need to get one that doesn't force me do donuts across the city.
