I went for a couple of hours, after getting lost on the way there thanks to Mapquest giving me shitty directions.

It was a pretty good time.

Watched Pest and Iris face off with absinthe shots (Wow!) and was able to watch the fire-hack.

I found it funny I had to yell out fire when it would catch on the grass because most of the guys wouldn't notice.

Sorry I didn't stay longer to those that were there!

I really dislike camping and being stuck outside with bugs and shit.

I went, having previously never heard of detroitgothic. A friend invited me. Anyway, I had a great time. Everybody was awesome and all the games and competitions were very creative and fun to watch. If I go next year, I definitely plan on competing. I'm really glad I got the opportunity to go; I had a great time and can't wait to see the pictures and videos!

It was a good time! Even though Spook and I did not compete this year, I had a blast. Spook was forced to go to bed early Saturday due to a migraine, but I had fun! It was lovely finally having a chance to catch up in person with some folks I haven't seen in a long time. Hugs to you all!

Oh, and I'm sorry I was too drunk already to try the absinthe when I had the chance. Thanks, Iris, for the offer.

Went enjoyed meeting kind folks. Overdid the whole "going out" thing over the last few weeks, culminating in whatever happened to me late Friday / Saturday morning, (first time i had a car accident nightmare flashback mid-conversation in years ouch) was talking to reaper and next thing i knew.. scaarry, although im so used to it from years past the conversation just continued as normal. Later on things got better but then , eventually had to get home fast before things got worse, felt bad about leaving without saying goodbye to everyone. Really did enjoy myself up until the end there.

Glad I went despite that. Just didn't want anyone to think I bailed because I wasn't happy to see everyone.

Thanks to guy whos DGN name I have no clue about for letting me crash in his tent.

Thanks to Cher & everyone for the whole thing.

Thanks to pest & cher for coming and finding me , would probably been another hour before i found my way there (already took me several hours , not due to being lost but other reasons)

Thanks to Tyger for checking on me, came right at the right time, probably without realizing it.

I stand corrected! AND, yes indeed, that was the most epic puke of all pukes that I have EVER bore witness to!

I've never seen someone puke longer than it took them to drink. I wanted to give you your privacy while you puked, but I just couldn't look away because it was so AWESOME! I'm glad you're ok, but you should have gotten point for that!

I will plan better next year and make sure I can be there the entire weekend. I only went Saturday for a few hours. It was nice to see everyone. I'm said I missed Eternal's diaper moment.

Cowboy Dave and I had a great weekend.

He loved that no one recognized him, even Troy... which btw, we still wanna hear about the one post you remember him posting about... were both super curious now.

It was great sitting around talking to people and watching the MANFEST contests happen. My fave was the disc throws, but I was scared when the fire Hacky was happening.

Troy: Was great seeing you! Was super worried about you in the morning. Was also bummed that you didnt say goodbye! :(

Torn: Thank you again SO MUCH for the bike ride and the ice cream!! Made my weekend.

TWB & Spook: It was great just sitting around and chit chatting, and watching TWB all fluffy drunk.

Eternal: Thanks for the view.... *Shivers* I wonder how much the psychiatry bill will be for that... *shivers and curls into a ball*

Tyger, I'm so happy you got to see Eternal's man-junk.. I was traumatized the entire weekend at last year's MANFAST.Glad I am not the only one who will be seeking therapy.

For procrastinating up until the very morning of Manfast, I believe I did rather well in gathering the proper supplies to survive those few days in the sweltering grasslands. Bacon really did not do it for me; Even before witnessing the epic face-shoveling BYOB match, it made me a bit queezy. I really didn't eat that much all weekend, save the wild boar sausage Saturday morning, random samplings of the breakfast entries, and my stash of assorted meat pies that were my friday night savior (just drank a shit-ton of water and sampled the various other tasty drinks at night).

Even if the weather was a dog, it was MUCH milder than last year. Thus, I was out and about more; I'm excited I could casually talk to so many of the board members and guests. For the record, I am evil at Rock/Paper/Scissors competitions (and Battleship too, but there was none of that to be held here).

I am also glad I could share the bounty of absinthe with so many of you. Did not expect I could down 6 shots of the stuff undiluted and not immediately fall on my arse. Major kudos for Pest as well; You were an admirable opponent, and the contest came down to the last second and last shot (due to the fact that we both spilled a little from each of our five). I did get a little sick Sunday morning, but that may have been due more to heat and humidity...everything would have been through my system by then (8-9 hours later).

I may end up posting secret footage of the inside of Iris' hidey-away...tempted, but not certain.
