These probably will look a little big on most monitors so back away a bit, imagine these as bumper stickers.

Try to vote for what you think most people would like, rather than what you personally would like (unless you just cant stand to see whatever that would be on your car) the idea being to have people like what they see when they see these things stuck to something.

We are out of them and need new ones. (someone suggested quality stickers / decals but they aren't cheap, its really hard to justtify promotion costs when we don't even have the ubiquitous bumper stickers yet). Was also suggested (many, many times) that we do "for sale" type stuff such as the goods at CafePress but as yet we have not.

If you think some other color combination would be better feel free to just say that rather than vote on these in particular.

Planning on getting this done sooner rather than later.

I'm thinking maybe the "stroke" color around the ones that are white/color might be a bit thick.

One thing about all the colors is they are not "back lit" the way they are on your computer monitor, so the green for instance wouldn't be quite so glowy and the purple probably would look quite a bit more dull than it does here.

Dang things are not cheap. Amazing how low the per-unit cost gets if you can order them in huge quantities (but 2000 dgn bumper stickers would be near pointless, would take us probably 10 years to use that many)

I agree with GRG about the solid colors. In spite of this, I like the look of the last one, but it will probably be more difficult to read as a bumper sticker. Also, I'm thinking the bat logo should come in front of Detroit instead of after to make it clear that DetroitGothic.net is one word and we're not Gothic.net of Detroit. And the 'n' of 'net' is hard to read in that script. Maybe a lower case 'n' would be better. Lastly, if the bat was scaled down a little in size compared to the lettering, it would be more distinct.

In my honest opinion, any light solid color, that is super easy to read with a black background, will be best. Which is why I voted for #1 and #2.

Thanks for the input!

This is what I originally had before i changed it to what it is now:

I originally tried to have the .net not .Net capitalized but there is a "gap" between the top of the hi in gothic and the t in net, and the only way to fill that (which looks like wasted space to me) was to capitalize the N in .net. Maybe that empty space that I'm seeing isn't viewed as that by others.

Putting the bat on the left just seemed to take away from the "Detroit Gothic. Net" message and just seemed to fit better on the right but maybe not.

I agree that the smaller bat does conflict less with the DetroitGothic.net guess there is a lot of gray area / ideas to consider as to what the overall "goal" is. I guess its to make it readable asap , and i want to keep the bat as I want to get him out there as the DGN "mascot" even though , if we took him away (completely) it would be quicker to see / read the website name.

From a (fairly decent) distance I do think the solid colors look better... or rather are "easier to see" not necessarily "look better" but , somehow the mixture of the white with an outside stroke of color is what i'm leaning toward. (unfortunately for Cher, a yellow "stroke" around white looks like crap doh)

I didn't know we used to have stickers and such. Now I want this to go through quickly so I can get some :p

Literally just ran out on Saturday. Eventually we'd like to have more "vanity" type stuff like say a T shirt with just the bat guy on it, (neck lass charm? somone randomly suggested this, keychain with the bat guy? (guy pointed to his "hatchetman neckless" when saying that) no idea if anyone would want that sort of thing or not or stickers that are cheaper / not permanent, but activity and such needs to pick up / interest shown (so it can pay for itself basically) , it'll be awhile on anything other than bumper stickers.

A fairly large number of people have asked about more expensive "window decal" type things, but again that is a cost issue.

I'm fairly open to any of them, so in the interest of 'Git er done'.

Going to go with the purple one and get things rolling. I tried to re-arrange things the way wonderbunny suggested, and they are good suggestions, just in the end it still turned out the way the "first draft" was .. that is the solid red one , which, doesn't look right to me for some reason. Still on the fence about the capital N in .net , uncapitalized it leaves an annoying empty space. I'm sure another couple weeks of tweaking could change that, but the difference wouldn't be that significant really, and people apparently want their stickers yesterday. =P Good problem to have.
