Hello to all the detroit gothic community. Im in sterling heights ,39 years old ,work nightshift as a mechanic, like bauhaus, the cure and apolyptica to start.

Honestly I'm just getting into goth.Weird huh? "So what made you choose to explore goth?" you might ask...Very well .. I stayed drunk for a long time most of my 20's and 30's and i really never took the time to discover who i was or what i liked.I stopped drinking and realized that there was a lot of music that i missed out on.Then i discovered the 3 aforementioned bands listining to them is like a knife in my very soul...hard to describe. I'm seeing beauty in darkness, again ,hard to describe. I play the guitar also. I'm looking for friends and to be a friend it gets lonely hanging out at night by myself and maby a concert/club buddy? someone to help me find more music . Does that make sense?

Makes total sense one of the key reasons the thing is here. Good to have ya. Sterling Heights is on the exact opposite side of Detroit from me (Westland, 37, fine art major by schooling, tech industry by trade... between jobs by er.. accident lol) but we have people from all over... and i do mean all over, some not even in the USA and some not even remotely what you'd call goth, just "interested" lets call it. So there is a wide gamut.

Hopefully we can get you to stick around and throw your two cents in *points around*

You did such a good job on your intro post that you answered almost all of this but here goes anyhow, its almost mandatory that we spam new people with it, hah.

*drum roll*

On the subject of DGN events, you just missed an epic ManFast, but there's always next year! ;)
