Oh, thanks guys! I didn't even see this yesterday. I guess to answer some questions:

Current location? Waterford, MI

Where from? Same as above

Gender? Female

Work? Library circulation clerk

School? Not at the moment; got 2 fluff degrees from OCC

Kids? No!

Married? Nope

Single? Nope, just recently found a special someone

Hobbies? Spending entirely too much time online, reading, video games (RPGs), listening to music (no talent to make any, unfortunately), and clubbing, of course!

How Did You Find / hear about DGN? I've heard the name thrown around for years at City, and finally decided to check it out. Saw some friends and my boyfriend (who is no longer active) and felt like giving it a shot.

How did you pick your DGN name? It's my Last.fm name and I've always liked it.

Other Stuff? Can't really think of anything at the moment, but thanks for the warm welcome!

Got a liberal arts degree because I was originally going to transfer into a university for mortuary science... hehe. But then I changed my mind for various reasons (takes too long, too much money, too much driving, etc) and enjoyed my library job, so I got the library science degree at OCC after that. I call it a fluff degree because the jobs I'm supposed to be able to get with it are mostly being eliminated in this economy :(

Nope, unfortunately. Not enough money to get anything new at the moment, and all my systems are old, so I've already played everything I have.

Yeah any kind of history / lit / art stuff is hard even in a good economy. Library science (friend i have runs a library in texas, old GF had a similar degree but never got any work). I used to live at the library , thought about a similar path but it just seemed so competitive / difficult to find paying work.

Game wise you have a computer right? There is a limitless supply of games for the PC, never have to buy another game again if you don't want to.

Simple ones like:

Epic Fantasy Battle or Sonny are easy to get at due to just loading right in your browser if you dont need epic graphics.

And if you want to get into downloading "real" games, install Utorrent then just Google something like "Knights of the old republic torrent"

I used to be an Adventure / RPG fanatic, although that has died down a bit, I'm still a pretty big gamer but its more tabletop/card games and at the moment StarCraft (trying to find stuff that doesnt suck down the time as much)

Anyhow glad to have you around, hope you stay. :)

I've never been into PC games. I always have a cheap laptop, so I never really have the hardware of space for them. I also don't like the controls on a PC. I know there are USB controllers and such, but meh.

Persona 2 is coming to PSP in September, and that is when I'll break my video game rut.

Doesn't mean you cant start liking them. =) Especially the "simple" RPGs like the ones i listed above, a console controller is actually more complicated / cumbersome for that type of simple RPG. Just a few clicks and your "adventuring" is partly the draw of them. (and the hardware requirements are non-existent) your litternally like 20 seconds away from an rpg if you have web access anywhere.

I like pretty much all types of games, even though I started out as a hardcore console person, they all have their merits.
