DisturbedMania
If it isn't horrible you could try spiderwebs. (yep so goth) It is an old before the bandaid remedy. My uncle used to give himself stitches until that last time that it got really infected and the DRs had to remove some chunks of flesh from his hand......ewwww..... If you do it yourself make sure everything is sanitized PROPERLY.
pharoh
Superglue works wonders...I got injured in my sparring class Saturday, and my had was bleeding really good, I blocked a kick and the kid doesn't trim his toe nails (GROSS). so I super glued it shut and it's still holding today.....this is the second time the kid cut me too, and if he keeps it up he is gonna need stitches lol

bean
Well looking back on it, I should have gone to the hospital because I had been bleeding heavily on and off for a few hours and my bathroom sink had a pool of blood in it (it drains slow...nice visual, I know). I was woozy from blood loss when I made that initial post. That night I took antibiotic cream and put it on the wound, then covered it with gauze, which I then put tape over and sort of held the wound together. The next day I went and bought the butterfly closures. Luckily they held the wound closed. I kept cleaning it and changing the things and putting ointment on it. Now I have this nasty scar that everyone asks about and I lie and say I burned it on the oven. Everything happens for a reason (here I go getting personal again). From reading old posts, most of you know that I am a cutter. I should say WAS a cutter. That night, I cut through all my layers of skin and I didn't even feel it. To see the tissue under your skin and a vein is terrifying. I have this ugly scar to remind me of that night. That cured me of my cutting, I think, because I haven't done it since then, and it has been almost 5 months, which is a long time for me. I have thought about doing it a few times since, but then I look at my scar and remember that night and it still scares me enough not to do it again. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Homicidalheathen
Yup if ya don't get stitiches your scar will be nasty and big. My freind has been surviving for years with no medical. She bounces from hospital to hospital because they won't keep taking you......they get to know your face and what not and have on record that you owe...... She is running out of hospitals in her area. I hear they must take you if it is an emergency however?
bean
Yeah the er will take you in an emergency...honestly, I didn't go because I was afraid they were going to throw me in the psyc ward because my wound was obviously self-inflicted. Saephyr
Baby...if you want me to hurt ya again just ask me jeez! Ok seriously...I am a cutter too. Once a cutter always one. It's been quite some time since I did it but I have thought about it a lot. usually when I'm lonely or the pain gets to me from my body being a hunk of junk. i just wanna go numb where appropriate when I need it. Doctors suck but I hope they make it all better thursday this week again. It's a temp fix but at least I don't feel like gutting myself with a sword! Be fkn careful woman...people love you ya know?
