I came, I saw, I hit em right there in the jaw. Ok not really . Talked to the lovely ladies Victoria and Chernobyl, and of course Troy and a few others that aren't on here. Also met Havic and Slogo, both seem like cool guys. Danced a bit, then I got tired and found a corner to read until Troy was ready to leave. Now I'm gonna crash, good night.

I had a good time. I actually got to meet someone there from another forum I'm on. I feel bad because every time I go I don't know who is who and I kinda just sit around with alyssa. Unfortunately she drank way too much and she was a puking mess. So I had to take care of her most of the time. I'm a little upset I didn't get to dance or talk to anyone new, but I'm sure I will get another chance.

I would have if I saw you. But I will say, as a tip, I went to DGN night waaaay in the ancient days of DGN where internet beasts of lore ran rampant and everything was still DOS, basically back before anyone knew me. I went several times basically over and over again, always leaving messages in the DGN Night thread with my description and for people to say hi, and nobody did. I think it's because psychologically speaking, most people are too wrapped up in the night (and possibly a few drinks in) to really notice or look out for new members. I always try to scan for new members (i.e. I picked havoc off the second he walked right through the door and barely was patted down), but we can't be successful 100% of the time.

Moral here? Nobody will probably notice you UNTIL you come say hi to the group! It may happen, but it didn't happen to me and I did that for weeks. I only tumbled into the crowd when I took the initiative to go up and say hello. And it wasn't anything personal toward me, it's just as I mentioned previously, most of the time normal members aren't looking for the new members coming in and/or are too wrapped up in the fun of the night (and booze) to be paying attention.

Next time you see a crowd of us...approach!
