Recommended Posts

You should feel terrible...

Hmm.... telling me how I should feel... hmmmm....

I am not sure, since he made Blade Runner.... He has the only chance of pulling this off.... I mean it could be a lot worse... Michael Bay?

Hmmm- I don't like it. I wouldn't say I "hate" the idea but I defineintly don't find the idea laudable. Phee is right, the fact that it's Scott lessens the disilluontionment of it being remade, but I'm still not thrilled.

Cronenweth is gone- to me that movie is all about his genius, he BREATHTAKING use of contrast and light...there will be no replacing that and I feel the movie will do nothing other than leave lovers of the original film devoid without him.

I mean... they did not say if it's a remake, sequel, prequel, etc... I wonder if they will still be smart enough to use Vangelis.

I would hope they would not be so doltish-- I guess we will see. Either way they decided to go, I have this horrid feeling it will be bad.

Prequel = crappy view of shit that lead up to the off-planet family, pre-rachel drama lama.

Sequel = crappy view of life after falling in love with a skin job.

Remake = big huge load of crappy. To me, with out Jordan there is NO remake, it's inconceivable.

Sigh* Now I have to go watch it.

Just have to think about it like "a movie set in the same universe that blade runner was set in" that's it. With no real expectations about what it is about or how it will "compare" that is just stressing yourself out. But, any sci fi directed by any decent director I can't say I'd ever disprove of regardless of what "name" they give it. No matter what It'll have to be as good as a random epiosdoe of pfftt.. Stargate, which , will be worth sitting through.

Now just eight years from the wrecked, futuristic Los Angeles envisioned in the original, Ridley Scott will be helming a new entry into the iconic "Blade Runner" canon.

Deadline reports that the legendary director is set to revive the classic 1982 film, which starred Harrison Ford as Richard Deckard, who worked to capture humanoid robots before falling in love with one of them.

It's unknown, at this point, whether the film will be a prequel, sequel, reboot or spinoff; Scott is currently finishing "Prometheus," the Damon Lindelof-penned film that is a sort of relative to his classic, "Alien."

Realtive of alien? Hopefully it doesnt suck as bad as the last few alien movies and if its like AVP they might as well not even waste the money. (Sad how bad several of the alien and AVP movies suck, their are good "scripts" ready to go pre-made just sitting on the shelf at the comic book store)

Also that article gives the impression there is ANOTHER Indiana Jones movie? /boggle.
