In the movie, Abaddon is said to be the only fallen angel who was not cast into the fiery pit and will be the one who will bring the destruction of Creation. According to Wikipedia, Abaddon was originally a place until the book of Revelation gave the name to "the king of tormenting locusts and the angel of the bottomless pit".
