Brenda Starrr
I would like to begin a thread where we can trade ideas. Whether it's trying a new look, new products, new colors, let's discuss. We won't discriminate-it's a male/female discussion.
Fierce Critter
Well, I'll share a little hair story that others might glean some insight from. I don't like messing with my hair. I prefer a 'do that doesn't require lots of tools like curling irons or too much blow-drying, yet still looks good. Unfortunately, with ultra-fine sparse hair, that means usually one of two things - super short, or perms. I hate short hair on me, so I finally went back to perms after trying medium-length, shaggy styles for a year. I get a spiral wrap once a year. It changes appearance as it grows out, and I just let it. To deal with frizziness, I've been through a billion different products, but finally found a tiny bit of Frizz Eez in wet hair and follow-up with a light gel does the trick. Currently, I'm using a Sally's Beauty Supply version of Frizz Ease, and it's not as good. And for gel, I'm using Garnier Fructis' Shake Effect spray-gel. It's great. My hair is growing back to one-length after a year of a shag. To style, I blow dry on low, finger into place and spray in some Aussie Sprunch spray. I'd like to go back to dying the underlayer in back with Punky Color's Vermillion again, but some experiments in permanent dyes last year has that layer very fried and almost bleached-looking, so I'm hesitant to do that on top of what's now a 4-month grown-out perm. Brenda Starrr
I'm going through the "hurry up and grow" phase. Mine is short right now, but I want it to get to my chin. Like a choppy angled bob without bangs. I just wish tht mine would grow faster.
Nerdcore
my hair is naturaly curly and I hate dealing with it. I cut it short short so I would not have to deal with it. But its growing back, and I dont know to re cut it or let it grow back out. I think my face looks thinner with short hair, others do not think so ! HELP !!! :unhappy:
Brenda Starrr
Do you have a recent pic, nerdcore? I'm sure that you look awesome no matter what, but I'd love to see the short hair!
JaneDead
I'm going through the "hurry up and grow" phase. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> me too! except that my hair is just about to my shoulders. when wet anyways. but i mean like just touching the top. this is the start of the phase i HATE! my hair grows fast but will look like crap when i am trying to grow it out. i have not had it long in about 7 or 8 years?? and i want to grow it back again just one last time. i have had it short/shortish for so long. actually i like it but i want to do the long hair again. problem with how it grows- i dye my hair and right away i have my new greys popping up! i dont have issues with "roots" just new greys. *sigh* my hair is going to be hard to maintain in my later years.... plus it is curly but with each child i have had, it is losing it's curl. and i basically dry/pull on it to make it straight and ithink it just got used to being that way! so i bet my once long pretty curly hair is not going to happen this time around and it will be ... well i dont know what it will be. lol. but it won't be what i want and i will have wasted all this time "growing it out".
