Tooth Resorption

This was discover on one of my front teeth at my last dental cleaning. On Monday I had a root canal done and had a kind of acid poured into the tooth to kill the cells that were causing the tooth to be eaten away. My only other option would have been to have the tooth pulled. Not wanting to be missing a front tooth I went with the root canal. I now have to go back and have a filling put in, then I have to go back in 2 months to have the tooth scanned and x-ray to make sure that all of the cells that were eating the tooth are gone. I had no clue what so ever that this was going on until it was discover by the person cleaning my teeth that something did not look right. Apparently it is a rather odd sort of thing to happen and I had never heard of such a thing until I found out it was happening to me. Your body basically starts attacking your tooth. If left untreated the tooth will brake off and be lost. I have put in a link with more info if you care to take a look.
