Class-Punk
Breaking Bad is an American television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies. There's only going to be 5 seasons. I'm almost done with Season 3, there's some parts that are a little slow but the shocking parts make up for it. So far I have to fully agree with Wikipedia: Breaking Bad has received widespread critical acclaim and has been praised by many critics as one of the greatest dramas of all time.[20][21] David Segal of The New York Times praised the show as "satisfying and complex: a revolutionary take on the serial drama."[10] Alan Sepinwall of HitFix remarked that the third season belonged "in the pantheon of all-time great years for a TV drama."[22] Newsweek called the program "TV's finest hour."[23] Richard Woodward of The Huffington Post referred to the series as "ultra-dark and gripping."[24] James Poniewozik of Time named Breaking Bad the top show on his "Top 10 TV Series of 2010" list.[25] Todd VanDerWerff of HitFix admired the show for being "better than almost any series on right now at ramping up tension in almost completely organic ways."[26] Linda Stasi of the New York Post stated "the acting is as good as you'll see on TV."[27] Time said the series "has the elements of success."[28] Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly rated season one a "B+".[29] Novelist Stephen King also praised the series as "the best scripted show on TV" in his "Pop of King" column in Entertainment Weekly.[30] National Review commentator Jonah Goldberg has referred to the program as "the best show on TV" (emphasis in original) and to the character White as "a mensch at sea."[31] Author and Grantland.com contributor Chuck Klosterman named Breaking Bad the "best TV show of the past 10 years," edging out Mad Men, The Sopranos, and The Wire.[32] Tim Goodman of The Hollywood Reporter admired the show as "unquestionably one of the greatest dramas in TV history."[33] Slant Magazine contributor Sarah Holcomb detailed the show as "a complete work, one thought out long in advance and unfolding in its own time. This is one of the rarest finds on television."[34] On the review aggregator website Metacritic, the first season scored 74/100,[35] the second season scored 85/100,[36] the third season scored 89/100[37] and the fourth season scored 96/100, receiving the status of "universal acclaim".[38] Edited November 10, 2011 by Coffeenated
Troy Spiral (13)
Great show. I'm suprised its made it this long though its too bleak / smart , seems like the sort of show that would have gotten canceled already, glad it hasn't. This is one of my favorite scenes, film quality stuff.

Troy Spiral (13)
This really is a very high quality show. Despite having no demons or space ships. (hah) Its up there in the top 50, and is , a good example of TV being film quality (or better). I was enjoying the show a lot, but looking at the episode summary my memory is failing me as to where i stopped. I only stopped, I think, as the next season, whatever it was, was not started, or was not completed yet. (I typically don't watch a show until a season is over so I can see it all in one arc) having trouble deciding if I've seen season 4 or not. I think the (sometimes) "slowness" of this show, works, for this show, as its intended to be "bleak" and that just underscores it. Guess I'll have to just watch a few episodes as even if I have seen season 4 , it doesn't seem familiar to me, so either way it'll just cement my understanding of were we are at. This last episode. Omg. And we have to wait a YEAR. I guess thats what: "The fifth and final season which premiered on July 15, 2012, is split into two eight-episode parts.[1]The fifth and final season which premiered on July 15, 2012, is split into two eight-episode parts." That means? As in "season 5" is only 8 episodes long? and season er... 8.5 wont start up again until "next season" ? (If thats the case then its safe for me to D/L the 8 episodes and watch em (I try to just wait till a season of something is over and just watch it all at once)
LadyKay
Breaking Bad is the best show I have seen ! I do not have cable. My husband heard about it and bought the dvds for the first season. After watching the first season we had to buy seasons 2 through 4 ! When season 5 started on AMC I found out that I could buy a season pass from I Tunes and watch it on my computer! This show leaves me hanging with my mouth open in a state of shock wanting more!
