Music association request thread...

I think I may have started a thread like this before, but it probably is buries somewhere in the deep Gothic Matrix that is DGN....

Anyway... here is the idea, it is sort of a "Get To Know DGN Musically" thread. You answer the question asked by the person in the previous post, then ask one of your own for the next person. The question can be any opinion based question somehow involving music.... For example

A DGNr asks:

"Who do you think is the best rock and roll drummer of all time?"

The next person answers, "Neil Peart from the band RUSH of course!"

Then they would ask the next question: "If someone were getting into goth music for the first time.... what album would you recommend they buy first?"

(EASY RIGHT?)

Okay let's see if we can get this going for a while, I will start....

What song is the best one to be playing if you were trying to win a fist fight?

What is the most important thing for a nightclub to have to keep its customers?

Oh, trick question... a crowd apathetic to try new things?

Best track you've discovered in the last year the clubs aren't playing?

Hmmm anything by Marching Dynamics....

If you could create a new genre/tag name that everyone would automatically accept... what would you call it?

do you still like the band that was your teenage fave?

Yes, Nitzer Ebb

Are you aware of music being played in other cities and other scenes? Which city/state/country do you think is the strongest for music right now excluding detroit.

I can't speak to other cities at the moment... but Toronto was kicking in the late 90's.

What do you visualize most often when listening to your favorite music?

I couldn't think of anything until I remembered the band Fair Ohs, which to me is more along the lines of binge drinking music. I like most of their songs when I'm plastered.

What is the best background theme for Judge Judy starring in a cyberpunk movie?

Life Is Life by Laibach

The first song you would hear in hell is....?
