Just watched the movie "Monsters"

I was totally blown away, it was an amazing movie. Sci-Fi but TRUE sci-fi...

I think some folks will be a bit bored with it, as it is a very slow and quiet moving movie, kind of low budget, but the small amount of special effects that are within it are breathtaking.

Basically, if you appreciate the less is more, character driven, intelligent, sci-fi in the vein of movies like Pi, Primer, Moon, Solaris (orginal), The Stalker, etc... I think you will really like this movie, if you are more the type that likes The Matrix above all else... don't bother.

What is boring about a movie like that? Math is FTW.

Downloading it now (well its queued, will finish after Ken Burns Prohibition documentary finishes). Strange I never heard of it. Will watch soon.

Watched it. Good stuff. Glad you posted this heads up about it.

I wish there was a little more detail about what was going on, but part of that adds to the feeling of how it would really be like to be "in the dark" about such things if you were in the shoes of the main characters without the gods-eye-view that you eventually end up with in most movies.
