Any local observatory (usually the local science center, like The Detroit Science Center (but is closed right now)

Telescope stores

Welder Supply Stores (Number #14 glass) and they know why your buying it, this usually isnt what welders use en mass.)

I have these

I would have gotten some off the internet if I thought I needed them a month ago, i thought i was covered.

but I just dug them out and GUESS WHAT... they are scratched to hell and thus useless. Gonna have to do some hardcore calling tommrow. Apparently this type of stuff is sold out all over. Gooodddddd damnit. lol

Im tempted to pay the rapist prices amazon is charging and the rapist shipping to get them by tommrow but im worried they wont show up in time.

Actually... i got a better solution:

Meetup.com

Search for Astronomy meetup and find a local one, they will have better viewing equipment there than these cheapo things (and many of the meetup are at colleges and such)

I went to a welding store and got a #14 shade plate for some welding goggles. Make sure it is #14, lower then that will fry your eyes.

Unfortunately, we don't have a welding store in Windsor. I tried all of the hardware stores, but all they have is #5. I guess I'm shit out of luck.
