:fear whats in a city? people. :fear

My old boss was from chicago. I don't travel much so when i meet new people i ask them were there from. in my exp. (wich is limited) my boss and all his crownies were the most childish spoiled little bit#hes i ever wanted to hit in the mouth in my life. I have to use them as one of few examples as what people in chicago are generally going to be like. shaking their head at you with there nose in the air making nasal comments that are obviosly meant to offend but they feel the law makes them involnerable so theres no reason to be respectfull or nice.

JUst kinda seams to fallow suit with what i here about the traffic in chi-town

spoiled and selfish to a degree that sharing is a foreign concept. I still want to hit any one I here make that noise with there nose "ehn thats mine ehn".

Fu## phil Jackson go pistons

I realize that I'm probably wrong that most of the people are not like them but they represent chicago cause there from there

I got friends from all over the country really and I here what those places and people are like all over and there is definetly a cultural difference everywhere.

People from M.I. get along great with Flordia folk

Ohio rides are jock and they hate us couse they want to be us and we don't seem to notice.thats why thay get hated on in Flordia

ST.Luis and Missuri are nice people their down if your down show em how its done and the'll do it

alot of the south is good people but were yankees things are just done differently down there and we don't understand alot of what is common sense to them

example: you sleep with your boy's girl he beats your ass in a one on one fair fight and your friends again after. up here it ain't like that. theres now lesson your supposed to learn just shady bullshit around every good friend or corner,

some people you think you would hate are the coolest mother f%ckers on the planet. I really enjoy the diversity of metro detroit culture.

Once I tripped this prep in westland and pushed him over cause he was teasing and pushing this old indian guy around and me an this guy who did'nt speak english both laughed together at a tommy hilfiger fake tan pu##y cowering on the floor of the westland mall. I felt a great deal of humman bonding that day as my bullying was justified in helping this man. I imagine he was scared as he was picked on for some time with all the snobby westland folks turning their heads as they walked by. I'm from wayne and that dudes getting knoked to the floor. So i feel I renewed some faith in hummanity as you never know what city a person might have come from to help you. It probably won't be Chicago though :fear

See, for me it varied...I did a bunch of temp office jobs and it was several levels of hell for me--very cut throat, and it's what inspired me to return to school and vow to never work in an office again. At the same time, I thought people just out on the street were incredibly friendly. For example, there were countless times where if I was with a friend at the el trying to figure out how to get to x location, strangers would pipe up to offer helpful advice. I also thought people were pretty friendly if you were out at a bar/club/restaurant etcetera.

In Michigan, I've encountered a lot more rudeness from people in various businesses, customer service professions, etcetera and it takes a lot more work/effort to meet people. But on the other hand, it's a lot easier to sort of establish yourself, a lot more opportunities to gain experience that can further you professionally, etcetera.

I wouldn't mind living in Chicago again someday, and when I send apps to the dozen or so places I'm going to apply to for grad school, 2 or 3 of them will likely be schools in Chicago...but I'm also glad I'm doing my undergrad in Detroit because I think I've had a lot of opportunities at Wayne State that I just wouldn't have had in Chicago...
