Pants Lengths?

Recommended Posts

Are there different ways to measure the length of pants?

Because being tall, most of the time only the longest pair of pants they carry at regular stores (36) has a chance of fitting properly. But, I'd say 75% of the time they are too short, yet occasionally they fit just fine and actually have that slight bit of "extra" length that puts the hem/cuff slightly too long down on my shoes(which I like).

Are they measuring 36" in some sort of special way at one place vs another? (Tipically I have to go to the tall & fat store to get the right size pants)

Sizes aren't consistent anymore. Not just lengths either, but waist sizes as well. Pick out three brands of pants in the same waist size and I guarantee that they will not be the same size. I can be anywhere in a range of about four sizes, depending on the manufacturer.

Odd if anything they'd want to get right you think it would be the dang SIZE. Especially with the internet were you have to mail the crap back.

I was hoping it was something funny like , sometimes they measure from your inseam, sometimes they measure from the sack...

They probably do it the same way people think we make decisions for DGN, you know throw darts at a board and whatever it lands on "good enough!" "done!" psst pass me another beer.

find a good tailor. should'nt be hard. in the goth scene. it might not be as cheap. but look at the bright side. quality and style will be tailored to you also. clothing has gotten to cheap, but sadly to cheap looking.

If i was working I'd be ALL over that. I've been wanting to get some new clothes (both gothy and just regular clothes... well even my regular clothes are black.. actually all my clothes are black except a few shirts) for years, but im perpetually sick or broke or both. I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE wearing the same 5 things all he damn time. Scrounging up 40 bucks for a decent pair of new pants is a stretch, anything more than that is near impossible unfortunately.
